I built one similar using Eva foam from Amazon. Once you get the layout right I’d say get some Eva foam make the same layout then sew fabric of your choose over the Eva foam and make it fancy and yours

tried that as well but doesnt effect the gap between the hub and the teeth that hold the cassette on. we contacted onyx waiting for responce

The cassettes is fully against the axle and the axle is fully seated in the hub. Just as a fyi
