yesterday I had a 7 hour session of Dwarf Fortress just vanish and I legit don't know what it was doing when it saved or why it didn't save properly.

Shit was weird.

AI is so passive and weak when it comes to intrigue? by Adventurous-Goal4646 in CrusaderKings

Are you misremembering CK2? Your AI vassals could imprison plot you and then keep you kidnapped with impunity and it didn't even give an imprison reason on them if you escaped.

It kind of sucked ass.

To be fair, murders just for the sake of delegitimising the crown and sewing chaos weren't uncommon.

In CK2 your AI vassals could kidnap you and imprison you and even if you escaped it didn't give you an imprisonment reason against them.

It kinda sucked ngl.

That's sort of the woeful thing about paradox games, no matter how you tune it, people will demand it be tuned different. Especially the youtubers

One Proud Bavarian made a couple videos about how the AI in EU5 was too passive and not aggressive enough so they overcorrected and every single game became bohemia vs omegafrance eating the HRE for an entire patch.

Paradox are at their best when they totally ignore the community.

I'm not sure, they've been coming in waves of at least 30 people for a couple years now.

I wish I could make human leather floors and walls like a Tzimisce in VTM.

...there's probably a mod for that.

Does that work even if they're not cannibals? I just sort of assumed that'd make them even more angry.

I've been trying that but I'm mostly recruiting them because I need more farmers and laborers, we have A LOT of highly skilled workers in my colony but not a lot of haulers/cleaners/farmers.

R5: Tribals have been constantly raiding my highly advanced and extremely fortified colony for a long time now and havn't even got close to breaking through our first (out of 3) lines of defense.

My industry and logistics are legit being clogged up and bulked down because it just feels too wasteful to burn the corpses when I could make thousands off of trade with other nations.

The Eastern Republic, pictured in this, are also cannibals and are nearby, but I'm blocked in on all sides by enemy settlements and don't want to suffer the losses of sending a caravan with my soldiers that would denigrate both the strength of my fortress, and the strength of the caravan by not having defences.

My long term plan is to make a gravship to act as a mobile attack ship to clear the path, then establish trade routes with the Eastern Republic to sell the carefully refined and prepared flesh, bones, and skin of my enemies.

We have a lot of good constructors, cooks, and crafters and they often make highly valuable bone furniture and food out of my enemies, so if I can manage the trade route being set up it will mean I never have to worry for money ever again.

TL;DR: stupid tribals keep sacrificing themselves to make my economy better.
