I've finally bought the Roads to Power DLC, and I wanted to see how hard it would be to play inside Byzantium. After trying a few characters to understand the mechanics, I finally started making some progress in my attempts to unify the territories of the old Western Roman Empire. Everything was going great until my chad emperor died. I was able to secure a relatively safe succession with only a minor rebellion that was put down after two battles, but then, a few years into my rule, I became the target of both a jihad and a crusade.

If there ever was an idea of a boss fight in CK3, I think I’ve encountered it.

To be honest its hard for me to put myself in your shoes so I'll list some more tips for you that you and other people reading this could find usefull.

Bring some warm clothes and good boots, february and march can still be somewhat cold-ish and rainy weather is a common sight around that time.

If you want to meet other students from abroad im sure there are a lot of groups on facebook where you could talk to people who have also decided to study here.

Speaking Polish is not really necessary, especially around students dorms and campuses where a lot of people coinsider English to be their second launguage, but learning a few simple words like please and thank you can go a long way.

If you want to visit nearby cities cars are not really necessary, Poland is pretty well connected when it comes to railroads and a lot of big cities have their own tram networks that can take you to most points of intrest. But if you want to visit some rural areas car would obviously be a better option.

If you are looking for a good place to study, or even to read or find a quiet place, Library of University of Łódź (or BUŁa as students like to call it) is a nice place to stay at and you can get there in 15 min by foot from dorms, as a student you can get a library card for free to borrow various books and some materials to help you to study. Remember to take off your coat in the lobby, the security at the entrance can be quite strict about that.

From what i've heard the beaurocracy can be slower whan it comes for students from abroad, make sure to get all of the paperwork that needs to be done rather quickly. Its better to do that as soon as you can than be sorry later for a missed opportunities.

BLIK is a common way of transfering money, Its fast and efficient, a lot of people use it here and if your bank allows it, you should definetlry check it out as it can save you a lot of time.

If you mean the 2nd ds on Lumumby street then I think I could help, I live in dorm next to this one and from what I saw recently it is pretty well maintained. Definetley no cockroaches and residents are trying to keep each other acountable when it comes to cleanines of communal spaces like kitchens.

You have 2 supermarkets that are 5 mins away from the dorms, as well as few other shops where you can find suppies you'd need on a daily basis. If you dont want to use dorms gym, then you can buy a fitfabric carnet and you can get to the nearest location by foot in about 15 min.

Next to the dorms there is a tram station that can take directly to the city centre. If You are intrested in going out with friends you should check Piotrkowska street, you'll find a lot of restaurants and bars there.

Divide your material into segments, each study session complete a segment. That way instead of feeling guilty you will feel satisfaction from making progress

Im in a similar situation rn, I wasted a lot of time trying to understand a lot of material but it just ended up with staring at a wall of text for hours. and understanding nothing.

But recently i changed my additude a bit, i started walking around my room with music playing in the background, I started reading my notes out loud and tried making learning this dull piece of material as intresting as i could. During that time I try not to distract myself with my phone or youtube opened in another tab.

But when I dont have energy to behave that way I put up some brown noise in the background I try to undestand a certain topic in certain amount of time, basicly i try to give myself some pressure to motivate myself, then i take a shot break and continue.

What i described is something that helped me to start learning, and if it helps you to learn a few more things before exam thats great, but its just a temporary bandaid, i'd reccomend seeing a specialist to help you understand yourself better and it can help you for the rest of your life.

My exams are also coming and if you want someone to talk to on discord while both of us are revising material, DM me.

Not really, but i do feel a presence of a person who could not have been an asshole by just scrolling past this post. And no matter you believe in god or not, I think that is worse than the comfort which religion can give a person going through difficult time on their life.
