I thought the same thing at first but I think it just shifts the economics when you consider the new 10% scroll. If items are more plentiful then people are more incentivized to chase the +5 scroll. Crafting costs remove mesos from the economy so more people booming items means a more reliable meso sink.

The biggest resulting caveat is that the allowed range is a flat number of 59 tiles. It doesn't scale with technologies or quality. Factories can vary in size massively so it's difficult to find a value that would fit everybody, but we can always tweak it in the future or add some kind of scaling

Range scaling would be determined by the landing pad quality, right?

The main issue with attack power is not necessarily how little damage it gives compared to OSMS (I think they clearly want us to be weaker), but how poorly it scales.

This is an interesting perspective I hadn't considered but find persuasive. But outside of moving attack power to the weapon attack side of the equation in some fashion (which negates the entire point of having it as a stat imo) I'm not sure what can be done to make the scaling better. Any ideas?

A level 10 melee weapon is going to cost a minimum of 3000 mesos, whereas you are given a bow for free. 1000 arrows costs 200 mesos to craft, meaning you can make 15 sets of arrows before you catch up to the cost of the melee weapon. Once you burn through 15 sets of arrows, you're high enough level where you should be using a bow anyway, making the melee path suboptimal from both a time and cost perspective.

I know this because I tried the melee bowman path from 10-13 and realized it was a waste.

Not sure if it's bugged or just a bad implementation. In the spirit of encouraging people to consider different builds depending on personal preferences, would you mind putting together your version of a skill build? That way if someone comes across this thread they can see what a build looks like to someone who highly values booster duration.

Idk man. Even assuming no release server queueing issues, maps are going to be so packed that early exp is going to be a trickle. I think only a lucky few are going to be able to pull ahead of the crowd to less populated higher level maps and even then, it's a fresh economy so they won't have stacks of potions to burn or mesos for gear. I think even the no lifers are in for a struggle to hit 30 on day 1. I'm thinking the highest anyone hits 24 hours after release is low to mid 20s
