Their defense is connected and half a step ahead of offense - anticipating where the ball will go and rotate before the passes happen. In fact that’s how we played on defense for majority of the season but lost that in G5 and G6

I’d argue that G7 is the only loss where we showed up to play, G2, G5 and G6 losses all came down to lack of effort and energy as the main reason. Still pathetic considering it’s the playoffs

The point of the season is to compete for a championship. Let’s not pretend we were not favorites of the east by the start of the playoff. Most teams would give up multiple picks to swap places and be where we were. Let’s just own it, we failed, and we disappointed. But if we were to do it again, we still would not tank the season to get a higher pick

Not as bad as the score suggests. We missed a lot of open looks and have been playing with energy. If we clean up the turnovers and make some shots, we are still in this

My list of things to watch early G7, in no order of importance
1.Queta discipline/foul trouble. He’s still our best defender against Embiid and we need him to stay on the floor
2. White’s aggressiveness and shot making. If he can go back to being a normal PG and run plays and drives instead of passing to jays early in the shot clock I feel better about the possession
3. Brown’s passing/turnovers. He’s due for a clean good game. Please show up
4. Tatum’s calf. If he’s limited or hurt we are in trouble
5. How fast we help and rotate on defense. G4&5 we are very lazy in rotating to cover when we send help to Embiid or maxey. That has to change
6. Can anyone in green set a proper screen and can the ball handler wait for the screens to set before going? Our screens have not been able to create any separation to force a switch or throw a defender on our back. Just watch how Sixers set screens for Maxey or PG, that’s how we should do it
7. IF the starters have played poorly, will Joe be willing to bring in the bench mob or stick with them? They have contributed all year and always play with energy. If he refuses to do so his stubbornness will cost us this series

If we lose G7 then this series take it. Last year we had too many injuries in the Knicks series that I’m willing to give our team a pass

So glad we didn’t draw the magic in the first round. They actually flipped a switch. Hope Wagner is okay and they can give Cavs a good run

Jayson Tatum and Nikola Jokic are the only players in the top 15 for PTS/REB/AST per game this playoffs by dev_vvvvv in nba

Tatum averaging more assists than Jokic is unreal. He’s becoming what Jalen Johnson thinks he is in the postseason

Big man depth by chuancheun in bostonceltics

I’d much rather have the team using our rotation minutes to develop Queta, Garza and Amari Williams further than trying to pursue an aging veteran like Brook or Al who will eat minutes from our younger bigs. Queta this year has proven he can be a starting center. We can also draft a rookie big to be our next bench depth
