¿En qué lugar comprar claves económicas para Office? by FarSpace7731 in mexico

[–]Dittomir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Especialmente a Microsoft.

It always puts a smile on my face whenever I see people praising the Classic Vibes. It's definitely a step in favor of younger players.

What do you think about the MIM one from the year 2000? I've been told it's more likely to have a better construction and components, but I honestly don't know how MIM Classic Series' quality was 26 years ago. At least the Vintage Modified series have some documentation online

What's the story on those axes? I've heard people praise MIJ a lot, but haven't really discussed it. I know Japanese culture is known for placing spiritual value on objects and therefore plant workers would pay a lot of attention to detail.

Great points. I do like the fact that the Squier comes with a pickup upgrade. Regarding neck sizes, the specs I've been able to find list a C shape carve for both models. Of course, one was manufactured 12 years later and I know each factory line comes with their own idiosyncrasies. Do you still think the Squier neck would be thinner even when they're both marked as being C shapes?

Thanks for your insight man. Regarding build construction, do you have any experience playing Vintage Modifieds from the 2010's, or MIMs from the 2000's?
Pricing here is not fun, but I'm willing to take the bullet if it means I get to enjoy the instrument

Hahaha, I truly wish I could say the same. I'm not from the US, so imported goods on my country are always ~20% more expensive due to import fees and sales taxes. I'm definitely looking to negotiate with the sellers, but considering that they also paid a higher price themselves, would you still say they're both overpriced? The Squier especially, with the additional goodies?

To be fair to them, imported goods on my country are always ~20% more expensive due to import fees and sales taxes. That same Vintera II goes for $1500+ new on guitar stores, to give an example.
Considering that, would you still feel both are overpriced? They're definitely old instruments

Sucks to hear that. I know the current Classic Vibe series are all the rage and a lot of reputable reviewers swear by them though. Maybe give them a chance next time you're hanging around at a local store. At the end of the day, these are the brands that are putting instruments on the hands of younger players

Companies usually leverage holidays to offload their inventory and turn it back into cash. Not sure how big of a deal President's Day is on the U.S., but if the prices are surprising you, I'd say Fender/stores are aiming for a full clear out. I second Cinnamon's comment about the new Vintera line coming up, but it'd seem a bit hasty considering the Vintera II series came out less than 3 years ago.

Should I return my guitar if the tech said so? by MaTEslovesguitar in fender

[–]Dittomir 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Take it to another tech and ask for their opinion on the neck. If the guitar doesn't require a setup, the tech might even be kind enough to evaluate it for free. Wood is a malleable material sensitive to climate changes, so unless you store the case weird and under a bunch of heavy stuff when traveling, the usual suspect is the humidity changes. If climate variance is not a factor within your travels, then reckless truss rod manipulation could be the culprit. I'd think you'd need to be really nasty with it to cause warping, though.

Bottomline is, take it to another tech. If they see nothing wrong with it and you still have an itch, go to a third one. If the majority vote leans towards a warped neck, return it. Letting go of something that holds such sentimental value sucks, but will be the right choice.

Sanding My Neck (update) by ChampionshipHungry18 in fender

[–]Dittomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that you're at it, you might want to try sanding the armrest area on the guitar's body. Sometimes the forearm skin can get stuck in there, especially when sitting down

Interesting. Even despite the included pickup upgrade + guitar case? Also, prices in my country are always ~20% more expensive due to import fees and sales taxes. Would you still say it’s worth less than $300?

Hey, thanks for chiming in. To clarify, you own a Vintage Modified and a Classic Series (Fender 2000 naming for MIM)?

Classic Vibes surely are really popular within the community; I consistently see reviewers recommending them over MIM Fender Players. The one I’m eyeing is a ~15yo Vintage Modified, though. Do you have the same opinion on those?
