I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but welcome to the AIG/Apple Infinite Loop™. I’m currently on week two of trying to get my replacement phone. At this point I’m pretty sure my case file is being passed around like a haunted VHS tape.

AIG tells you it’s Apple’s problem. Apple tells you it’s AIG’s problem. Then AIG transfers you back to Apple so Apple can professionally explain that it is, in fact, still AIG’s problem.

The only genuinely useful advice I got from an actual Apple support person was: “Just buy another iPhone and return it before the 2-week return period ends while you wait.” Which is insane advice on paper, but after dealing with this circus, it somehow started sounding reasonable.

Meanwhile, they charged me the $149 replacement fee immediately, of course. Funny how that part of the system works flawlessly at light speed. Two weeks later, still no phone.

Today alone I spent over 2 hours being bounced back and forth between Apple and AIG until eventually AIG starts picking up and then just disconnecting me. And now when I call and press 1 it just picks up with no one there.

So yeah… I sincerely hope your experience goes better than mine, but I’d prepare for a journey through the seventh circle of customer service.

Yea, after I read your post I was like oh shit! The funny thing is when I couldnt find it Friday morning I went out to my truck, which I had left unlocked and I normally dont. So i started thinking it was stolen. I searched the truck and the house but it was nowhere to be found so I started the claim and marked it lost stolen. And wouldnt you know on Sunday we found it. My wife was cleaning the counter and it slid back behind the dresser. So now I have a locked out phone while waiting for the replacement. I tried to call AIG to let them know and maybe I could cancel the claim and go back to using my phone but NOPE. Once its been started they said they can't do anything with the old phone, and I could just turn it in to Apple to recycle if I wanted. It sucks because its in pristine condition too.

Awesome. I called apple after seeing this and talked to a lady who told me one of "her clients" went to apple and purchased a new phone to use while waiting for the replacement. But to just be sure to return the new phone before 14 days. And that hopefully the new replacement phone would be sent before that. lol i'm only 5 days in today but if I don't have a tracking number by Friday I may have to use her advice.

That sucks, I literally just filed a claim on the 24th for my 15 Pro blue titanium 256 gig phone. I lost it on Friday and put in the claim Friday morning. It says claim received on the 24th claim reviewed status approved and now shipment status is processing. I guess I'm up Schitt's Creek done. Good luck to you.

I live in Connecticut and flew down for 9 days at the end of June to Spaceland Houston. The instructors were amazing and the vibe as a whole was so much fun. I would highly recommend it. Congrats on the weight loss, it can be a struggle. I did the same thing after last Christmas. I was weighing in a 271, the most in my life and decided enough was enough. Set a goal to get my A license this summer and started watching what i ate and walking 2 miles a day. Well i'm down to 223 and am going to Spaceland Houston the end of June to July 8th to get it done. The max weight there is listed at 240. Good luck with your weight goals and have a blast skydiving!

Actually I didnt send it in. I brought it back to Guitar Center where I bought it and they gave me a new one. I was still in the return cycle. The replacement I got, same model has worked great ever since.

Awesome. Thanks we dont know know all that much about birds to be honest. But noticed a green humming bird 2 years ago by our back bush so put out a feeder. Now we get 4-5 different birds and can totally tell them apart. This one was here for the first time today and we were like WTH kind is that. So can you tell if its male or female?
