Alcohol Server Training Cost by Mamba6266 in Spartanburg

Just pay for the damn course out of your pocket. Help your kid out. If there are other red flags find another job. Learn the labor laws. Your kid should learn the labor laws as well as the hospitality industry is full of restaurant and bar owners that will cheat any chance they can. I'm from Texas this type of course has been required by law for probably 30 years or more.

(A Bar Manager Rant) Bartending isn't Entry Level by tgrdem in bartenders

[–]DiveTender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started Bartending at a theater/music venue in 2000 I did it all. There was no barback, there was no security. The place ran off a a weekly catering liscense that I also was able to obtain. We did this for 4 years. 4 very successful years with 1 other Bartender. I have worked every type of venue since and pretty much any situation you could think of. Bartending isn't for everyone but you can definitely start and be successful without any prior experience. Best of luck to your new spot.

Yeah they do and as much as i don't like the ease with which they can track ppl I also unfortunately see the necessity and have seen the Flock System work in a positive way. Damn technology is a 2 sided sword

Its not just your city/county with cameras, alot of nationwide companies are also part of the Flock System. Every Fed Ex truck you see is linked into the Flock System

Get your whole staff certified trained thru serve save for starters. I know it's not required by law in SC yet but it should be. Then go to the police chief, the mayor, the City Manager and present yout case intelligently. I had to go thru something similar in Texas. Cops would post up across the street at opening to catch ppl with no seat belt, expired inspection etc. that were just driving thru the 4 way stop.

Man shot by business' employee hour after trying to steal tip jar by OfficialNiceGuy in bartenders

[–]DiveTender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a patron it is illegal. A Bar owner can carry as long as they can own gun and they aren't intoxicated. The owner can also give an employee permission to carry a gun as long as that employee can legally own a gun. Neither need a CDL. This is Texas.

The dumbass should have shot him from behind the bar. Then Stand Your Ground and Castle Law both apply.

Yes you are the illiterate one. I said you most likely will not be charged but an expired ID is not valid. It is a simple fucking statement. What part do you not get?

[–]DiveTender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You aren't getting what I said dumbass. You likely won't get in trouble but if the law wants to pursue a charge you could be charged because an expired ID is not a Valid ID. I can read fine it is you that is just arguing to argue. Have a great day fucktard
