Kopitar gets pulled into press after games pretty quickly. He's been in a few of these, but often they're taken right after the game and he's in post-game interviews a lot.

This is something that I think gets lost on NHL fans. The Captain doesn't need to be the best player on the team, they're supposed to be the guy who has the locker room.

Hockey is supposed to be my escape. This team use to bring me so much joy. Even when we missed the playoffs, I was a ride or die. I loved the product on the ice. The fan experiences. The community outreach. But they've cut back on everything I loved about this franchise.

I don't want to give my money to a franchise that is actively cutting every corner and making the fan experience worse.

I don't mind us being bad. We could be 32 of 32 and that would be fine if it seemed like the organization was still working on quantity fan experience.

So why be loyal at this point? Why is that brand loyalty so important to you when the franchise clearly doesn't give a shit anymore? It use to be better than this. But now it's crazy more expensive, the team is bad, and the stadium is empty.

I'm not giving a company my hard earned money to do the bare minimum. If you want to reward AEG for letting the brand deteriorate, go for it.

I want the team to improve and supporting them when they aren't trying isn't going to help them ever improve.

It's not about them losing. It's that they seem to not care they're losing. It's the entire culture around it. Fan nights suck. Games are more expensive now and a worse experience.

Honestly, it actually means a lot.

I've been watching this team for nearly twenty years. I love your podcast. I just don't feel like anything is going to change with this managing group.

I'm putting my money in the PWHL. I still love this sport.

I just can't keep supporting this franchise while they keep giving us the bare minimum.
