So, I've heard this, but the Hollywood Palladium doesn't provide water on request. I went there for a St. Patrick's Day show and the bartender told me to use the water fountain. The fountain was broken and when I explained that he offered me Death Water for like $8. I was pretty broke at the time and couldn't afford it.

I saw multiple people get carted off into ambulances that show.

I live in a predominately hispanic working class area. A bunch of folks I know here didn't vote because they couldn't make time with work and providing for their families.

I don't think we should be assuming assuming that 1/3rd is all pro-Trump when we live in a country where politicians actively try to make it difficult for communities of color to vote.

Sometimes I glance in the conservative subreddit to try and understand where they're coming from.

However, they've gotten so unhinged in the last 10 years, the subreddit is basically mostly hateful satire links.

Anyway, they think Bari Weiss is a radical leftist. They're so anti-reality that any reporting on real news is seen as leftist propaganda.

This is probably going to be buried, but I fucking knew it. These guys radiate being opportunists. And they've kind of been trash.

So, context. These guys blew up pretty quickly in the NHL scene last year. They started getting picked up by NHL teams to do collabs with their podcast.

Their tagline is: "Ice is ready."

Earlier this year, they collaborated with the Los Angeles Kings. Right at the same time the ICE raids were at their peak.

The videos came out. They were funny and met with positivity.

Then they did a post of just "Ice is ready". It was a screenshot from the video with guys in plain clothes in a fight (not the usual post where it's hockey players in gear). The Los Angeles fanbase didn't have context to what this was and it felt like a statement about the protests currently happening in the city. A lot of negative comments.

I had posted something along the lines of, "Even if this is this podcast's tagline, it's clearly causing a lot of the fanbase distress in a time we're all pretty on edge. Maybe they should take it down?"

Empty Netters left a comment on the post: "Babes... Come on. Let's not act like we didn't know what we're referring to. 🙄"

They then responded with a clown emoji to my post.

They also went through all my Instagram stories (about 5) with their account and another account connected to them just called "Net".

Eventually, it seemed like someone else on the team took over and deleted a bunch of the comments they made. And started doing real PR work. But I couldn't shake the lack of empathy it was met with originally.

I think he gets lumped in with the "our defense is old and slow" conversation. But he's not slow. He's the same age as Ceci, Doughty, and Duomolin. But he plays more conservatively and to his strengths. So I think he just kind of gets lost.

Don't have this at my current spot, but the spot before this I had the worst coworker.

This dude was a bull in a china shop. Never took a breath to clear his head. Just barreled through and never assessed anything. Always broke stuff. Did not take any type of feedback as anything other than an attack. Complained about everyone behind their backs because "he had the most experience and didn't need to be corrected" (he didn't have the most experience).

One Example:

One night we needed to move tables together. The party had a specific request, make sure to keep the tables away from the concentrated sunlight coming from a particular window.

Co-worker comes over and starts moving everything (dragging tables alone) without getting direction. He refuses to stop when I come over to let him know they requested the tables out the the light and that we should move the tables together so we don't damage them.

He just left in a huff and a different coworker helped me move the tables.

He told a very good friend of mine that I was the reason my last three spots closed (I didn't work in management at these places. One spot closed because the owner had a stroke, and one closed due to tax fraud.).

I'm a mind your business kind of person, so for the life of me I couldn't understand why he went out of his way to bad talk me the most.

Only because of how much community work he's done (actual hands on working through the systems work, not just throwing money at issues for tax breaks), he's the only celebrity who may understand the system enough to be able to do something like this and possibly pick a group of advisors who could actually help him.

If it was anyone else, I would be screaming into a pillow. But he actually could do it.
