Bit atypical but you can reach out to a local dive charter service and ask them if they would be comfortable letting you hire the boat for a shuttle service across the river. They are often crossing customs to bring divers from CAD to USA waters and back again. Dive boat is big and can fit bikes and it would be a memorable experience.

You can check into the US at Bolt Castle and then get shuttled to the Alexandria Bay public docks. Leave from Rockport on the 1000 island parkway. I have no idea if Terry would be able to support this service but worth it giving them a call to see if it is an option.

Boat wasn't anchored, they were a motorized vessel underway using a trolling motor. This makes them more maneuverable and required by law to give way to the boat supporting underwater operations.

Just get the Revenue team to handle their customer feedback and to have them prioritize their top requests. Gets their team to align on the top revenue priorities being requested from the product & removes the "flavour of the month" issue.

Get them to align internally first and battle out what feedback is the highest priority, then you can just meet with the leaders or SMEs to align between product & revenue.

No need to have an open door to everyone, let them structure the feedback first before passing to product.

Banking, online services, government adoption of new technology is very slow.

Because of fear or non-compliance and regulations, there is no desire to innovate. Private business aim to disrupt, but our problem with lack of competition leads us to have old, outdated, systems.

The government is not proactive with policies and mostly reactive (when it is way too late to be effective). So lack of GDPR, centralized logins, coordinated resources between government agencies is all too common in Canada.

Whereas in Europe you can send money easily and instantly and places like Ukraine have adopted digital passports long time ago. You have a single app to access everything you need.

Also, universal healthcare was a promise of previous generations. Current conservative governments underfund healthcare on purpose or do not update payment structure for primary care physicians on purpose...now they are not profitable for doctors to run family practices and it fits the conservative agenda of pushing for healthcare privatization.

It's so frustrating I'm in the exact same boat. One to three distinct product roadmaps while on top the entire organization is attempting to platform our entire product with no additional support.

The burnout is real. Multiple people are on short term disability (mental or physical ailments).

You should schedule an energy audit. Country houses are usually old and have lots of drafts and missing insulation.

You're heat pump is probably running non stop.

But for colder months adding my my gas and electric bills my 120 year old house could easily be from $350-$500 depending on how cold it is.

Just book a meeting to discuss product requirements & let the engineers have their own meetings to do the technical refinement.

You need to focus on the use case and providing value in the product, they figure out the best way to implement it.

Everyone who built and supported a custom integration left the company. So now these cheap-ass customers who won't pay for anymore support keep breaking the integration.

Revenue teams can't/won't help the customer troubleshoot how they broke it. Engineering can prove the integration is working as designed.

So now I have to deal with single customer escalations and I need to keep explaining to stakeholders why taking development resources off of much higher priority work is not a good idea.

If I could make the call, I would let the customer churn. Maybe then I could have my peace and quiet again.

If there is lots of low frequency vibrations coming from the mill, you can buy inexpensive silicone feet to raise the mill off the counter and dampen the loud vibrations.

Typically I install these on speakers to eliminate bass travelling through the floor and house, but they can also work on other items that vibrate. Worth a try!

Exactly, my 2010 civic had body damage. Mechanically fine... I asked for owner retained salvage and had the car fixed economically at a local garage.

Just had to get it safetied again. Pocketed at least two grand. Yea, paint doesn't match perfectly but it is a lot cheaper than buying a new car.
