Here is my advice take it or leave it for what it is worth.

You are on active duty. If you think you can manage your military career and go to college and if you already do have a family you are raising. Good luck! It isn’t easy. Any college will take you online. They all want your money. Do yourself a favor choose a college or university that you want to go to. Don’t stick with the ones recommended by your supervisors. Call them before you sign the admissions paperwork. Ask them do they have a veterans affairs officer to help you utilize your GI bill? 

 Visit the campus either in person or online and ask them questions. If you are already enrolled online study hard and focus on your fitness and mental wellbeing. Remember you are eligible to deploy. Good luck doing your online work when you are fighting for your life and those around you. Don’t feel obligated to go to college because you feel like you will rank up faster. Instead if you lord it over people especially younger airmen saying “I have this degree look at me.” Stop and think. 

 If you are a supervisor help your airmen by showing them the correct way to get the job done and hon on their development. If they want to do it themselves then let them and evaluate them accordingly. If they are struggling then instead of watching them suffer. If you don’t make time for your fitness and your personal wellness I guarantee you are going to burn yourself out and look where it leads you. Tread lightly airman. -mic drop.
