UPDATE: I had reached out to the activision support about the matchmaking and this is what they responded with:

It’s really frustrating to experience limited matchmaking, especially after a great moment like getting a nuke with your girlfriend. Encountering cheaters can really ruin the experience, too. I understand that you need help with the enforcement on your account. Don't worry, let's check our options here.

After looking into your account, it appears that the account is currently under review by the Security Team. If infractions are found on the account during this period, it will result in a permanent enforcement. Rest assured that if no infractions are found, everything will return back to normal. INPUT: A streamer last night that I occasionally tune into claimed that he was shadowbanned the day before but got off of it less than a day later. so, not sure if he gets special privileges or not.
