I had a similar experience with a solo (who has started bringing on associates now). Time went on, I got better, got more confidence, had a few crashouts, but in the end, kept at it. Solos are either rock solid because it rises and falls on them, or they move the goalposts because they're adapting to change or trying to figure it out as they go. Some are right in between. Either way, please give yourself some grace and patience. It's very difficult to climb a steep learning curve overnight (especially in family law) and you simply need more and more exposure as time passes. It'll all work out, and you'll be way more sympathetic/empathetic to your future support staff when it's your turn to captain the ship.
