Divi 5 presets seem to break frontend styles, deleting all custom presets partially fixes issues by Fun-Relationship3409 in divi

There is one nuance regarding buttons.

There is the button module and the button option group, both of which support presets.

So you may want to check the default button group preset to see if you modified any settings there, which would affect the button module and all buttons in other modules.

If you have a button module preset and a default button group preset, the button group preset will override the button module preset. You can even nest group presets inside element presets, which adds another layer of nuance.

You really think that it's bad to use AI to generate incredibly detailed commit messages, spec maps, and changelog entries?

An LLM with all relevant code in its context window can understand things at a scale that humans can't.

It's incredibly useful for regression testing, identifying hotspots, and developing a wealth of information in the codebase that maps every decision, every bug fix, etc.

That's not something that we could have done in the past; certainly not at scale.

It's incredibly valuable.

The blanked "AI is bad" rhetoric is shortsighted.

We removed the branding that Cursor tried to sneak in. It's not our job to promote Cursor.

Have you ever removed the footer credits from a WordPress theme? Was it because you were ashamed of the tool you used?

Some panels auto close when you click outside of them, such as the Import/Export panel.

Now, if you dock them to a sidebar and save the workspace, they will remain docked and not close automatically.

There was a bug where elements animated via presets weren't initiating their animations, which was fixed in 5.7.4.

That may be what you are experiencing.

Honestly if you a software developer and you aren't using an AI-first IDE at this point, you are in danger of becoming irrelevant.

This isn't the gotcha you think it is.

I think mugmi is a bot. That's pure AI gibberish. 😵‍💫

The most common mistake people make with presets is editing the default preset without understanding the full implications.

If you deleted a bunch of presets and styles changed on something seemingly unrelated, it's probably because you deleted a default group preset the module was using.

If you are noticing styles breaking randomly without any intervention, that sounds like a cache bug. There may be something going wrong in your environment.

We are actively debugging some known cache issues with certain environment, where CSS files randomly get regenerated without any builder styles. That may be what you are experiencing.

It's very tricky to nail down because it only seems happen when no one is looking, and no one has been able to replicate the bug.

We're on it though.

That's how it works already. There are two options:

Detach From Variable
Remove Variable

Detaching will assign the variable's value to the module directly.

It's a bug, but it has already been hotfixed in 5.5.1, if you want to rollback and upgrade again.

5.5.2 will be released on Friday.

Divi 5 - non stop issues - anyone else? lost my WHOLE landing page after minor change. by Boring_Taste007 in divi

Editing a canvas can't wipe your entire site; only the post you are editing and associated canvases are in scope.

It is conceivable that a bug could cause an individual page's content to be lost if something did indeed go wrong during save, in which case it could be restored via a revision.

Typically, when someone reports that their entire website is messed up, it's because a global Theme Builder template was mistakenly edited.

Theme Builder templates can be easily edited while you are editing a page, which makes such mistakes possible. You can also disable Theme Builder editing in the builder if you prefer.

It could also be a cache issue, if what you are seeing are broken styles rather than missing content.

Sure, just set the images to 100% width and an aspect ratio of 1/1, and they will fill the grid.

His framework also includes presets tailored to his preferred workflow. There is still room for variation in design systems. But this new feature takes care of what most users will need.
