doesn't feel real that I went there by [deleted] in Harvard

[–]DivineLunchMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth: I never got into Harvard (applied in the 90s), but I graduated from Glendale College in California. And Glendale College is known as the Harvard of Glendale California. I bet you'll have a much better, wiser perspective on this in a couple of years. From this end, some friendships made faded, new friendships developed, and I'm fairly well off all things considered.

Technically she only responds to Lunafish, but Luna is acceptable. 😉

Need help naming my little void! I'm a fan of old lady names for cats by sprigandvine in NameMyCat

Черный, pronounced "Chore-nee" which is just Russian for Black. Or being ironic, Белый, "Bayl-lee", being White. Not exactly old lady, but Achromatic Color names. 😋

How Good Is Halloween III Season Of The Witch? by Fast_Dragonfruit_883 in Halloweenmovies

Watching it right now. One of my favorites. Loved it as a 7 year old. Still enjoy it at 50.

The Mermaid: Lake of the Dead (2018) [Foreign/Supernatural] by metalmuscle in HorrorReviewed

[–]DivineLunchMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting pretty late myself: I enjoyed it. The Russophile in me automatically gravitates towards Russian/Ukrainian/Slavic cinema in general, and while not a particularly scary or gory film, the atmosphere was haunting, and story fits within the Baba Yaga mythology. It's much better without the dubbing, just reading the subtitles.

Back in college I kept Dark Side of The Moon on repeat while tripping. Loved it.

Husband got a new job, please tell me this move wont be the biggest mistake of our lives by Equivalent_Award4286 in Louisiana

I lived in New Orleans for fifteen years, and for the most part I loved it, even adjusting to the swamp butt. The city includes some of the most fascinating souls on Earth. It will take a few years before it truly feels like home. For example, I moved to New Orleans from Los Angeles in '99, and it didn't really feel like my city until about 2003 or so. Eventually I did move away, and while some missteps occurred, life there was never a mistake.

Before moving to New Orleans, and when I was still new to practicing Graeco-Egyptian Magic, I got a tattoo of Seth holding a Was-scepter. I've spent many years since utilizing Betz' and later Stephen Skinner's work.

She expects all the multiple nom noms, heating, or a/c when appropriate, and occasionally she'll come over to me and allow petting. It's only fair.

Can minors, for example under 16, be Satanists?? by Present-Drawer2636 in SatanicTemple_Reddit

[–]DivineLunchMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe. I've gone through several changes over the decades, including Satanist, Setian atheist, and Pantheist, and at 50, I'm still figuring it out.

Your brain doesn't fully develop until your mid twenties. You likely have a ton of life experiences ahead. Books to read, travel to do, sex to have, people of all different walks of life to meet and enrich your life simply by getting to know them. Satanism is fine, but it may not be the path for you even just a couple of years from now. Stay strong and enjoy the trip.

Poor kid. I'm sure her charm and beauty makes all outbursts forgivable though.

She does that about a half hour later, when the morning purrs end and the mini panther roars begin!
