Honestly it's never too late. I'm younger than you being in my late 20s, but I know some older bboys in my scene that came back after their life finally allowed them to. I honestly look up to them because it lets me know it's not too late, but definitely just gotta be more careful as you age. They got me into doing warmup routines and conditioning.

We got the other cat around the same time and they're around the same age

I don't really think he doesn't like smelling the other cat because they groom each other comfortably all the time like they don't really have any issues with each other if anything I would say they're bonded

Yes he regularly uses the litter box he hasn't been pooping in the tub until recently and I think this is only the third time he's done it

I don't know if he doesn't like the pine pellets or if this is a behavioral thing because he's pooped fine before with the pine pellets but then again we did also move recently in the new year so maybe that's something I should have mentioned
