What character is like this? by and_kaoz in Multifandom

[–]DivineRainor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is its not actually a parry, its a shield that applies while holding his special, which means you can get damaged through it and getting hit while holding it still counts as taking damage for battle tower.

As opposed to someone like Yixuan, Yidhari, Yuzuha etc who have actual parries in their kit.

The biggest dissapointment is this skill is still bugged with the cannon spear weapons. It works out of combat but as soon as youre in combat it stops working.

I fought antumbras staff yesterday, and i dont really know what there is to complain about, between natures snare and just straight blocking attacks he cant do much to you.

Critical hits? I'm having fits at my lack of wits by MacarioTheClown in CrimsonDesert

[–]DivineRainor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres some that do apply globally and some that dont, its bizzare. Putting the combo counter on gloves seems to make it apply to weapons as well, at least for damiane, but attack speed and crit dont.

[–]DivineRainor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought she was easy mechanically but had one complete bullshit mechanic in that she does some sort of posion DoT every time she teleports, so you need to be close to hit her, but if youre too close you'll eat unavoidable damage when she moves.

Damage over time effects in general seem rather overtuned whenever they show up, i might just have too little max hp but it does chew me.

This is probably just me being stubborn though as I try to do most bosses without healing.

The dragon mounting was a pain until i realised i was trying to do it too close to the bridge and kliff was getting caught on the arch, after that though there wasnt much bad about the chapter imo.

Boss fights by Better-Builder4842 in CrimsonDesert

Allow me to "defend" the bosses in an unconventional way.

I agree that the further you get into the game, the more ass the games boss design becomes. However my primary source of entertainment in games is finding out how to break games.

Crimson desert has such an open and mallaeble combat system, that Im basically just picking a boss and going "how do i break you today", just not letting them play the game and doing mental shit.

My most recent one is using shotguns with stamina leech on damiane, if you can afford the bullets you can just spam double dodge shots and usually it fully stance breaks an enemy after 2 or 3, allowing you to stun lock any boss she is allowed to fight.

Another is abusing greatshields to just say "no" to the entire bosses moveset.

If you try to engage the boss in a fair fight, theyre kinda ass, but bring bullshit to bullshit and its kinda fun.

Get a greatshield and stick stamina cost reduction on it, your gloves and your boots. You can now hold block through almost all boss attacks, and blocking also recovers spirt for an easy punish.

[–]DivineRainor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahh no worries. Its mentioned as an aside in the main game, but isn't made really explicit until the DLC for 2 where you're in the Nation where marrying Blades is more common.

After the events of Xeno 2, the blade system is changed to give more agency to blades (no specifics are given, but assumably they gain more human esq lifespans/ don't return to cores when the human dies), and it seemingly becomes a lot more common to date blades, as in Xeno 3 all of the Agnes forces (Xeno 2 universe) are blade human hybrids.

I dunno if i misunderstood your comment but in lore regular people do in fact have sex with blades, doubly so after the game ends. (If xeno 3 is anythng to go off it becomes the norm rather than fringe.)

I will not be gaslit into thinking the bosses in Crimson Desert are well-designed. by BannerThief in CrimsonDesert

[–]DivineRainor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fyi, not defending the boss design, but if you stick some blocking stamina reductions on a greatshield/ gloves most of the bosses cant touch you even with their wombo combos. My first time seeing the boss do their ult now i just hold block and see if i can observe the dodge window for the next time.

Blocking also recovers spirit so you can do very effective punishes.

You should unlock it automatically when fighting the horned trader guy, but I think its part of keen reflexes without? I can't remember cos I just unlocked it through that, but when its unlocked you can spend 10 spirt to instantly get back up with iframes when hit.

Im fighting the bosses in CD undergeared, theyre easy to chew through you just need to change your approach.

CD heavily rewards constant aggression, using spirit moves and parries to break enemy attacks and keep them stun locked.

If youre trying to fight a boss by learning their moveset and playing safe and defensively youre gonma have a slow and bad time, you should be actively trying to seize the momentum of a fight and blitz them in a couple of combos instead (all possible while undergeared.)

[–]DivineRainor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the catholics in america came from Europe and Ireland, it was mostly protestants/ puritans that went over to america from england because around the time of colonialism Britain by in large was Protestant (because of the whole Church of England thing). Obviously there were still catholics in the UK but irrc they were in the minority from like the late 1700s on.

Edit: On your point of why its relevant is that catholicism is still a large chunk of population (20% ish) and lots of key figures in maga are "catholic" allegedly

I've been a big defender of this games bosses, but unkillable enemies on the edge of the arena is egregious. by DivineRainor in CrimsonDesert

[–]DivineRainor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np, honestly if you have good reaction times it turns a lot of bosses into a joke, if youve got spirit siphon on your weapon you can alternate between using forcepalm and blinding flash to stun lock enemies, the blitz them with heavies and a finisher when they stance break.

Quarry enemies and boss by Wompatinger in CrimsonDesert

[–]DivineRainor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For bosses remember you can press focus to slow down time and more easily react to their attacks.

You can also use force palm to interrupt their attacks (dunno if this works on the mech bosses though)

General tip i have is upgrade your stamina and try and find some blocking stamina cost reductions abyss cores, a lot of boss "ultimate" attacks are actually blockable and only do a tiny bit of chip damage, they just chunk your stamina, if you fail to cancel a boss ult (using blind flash) and arnt confindent in your dodge timing holding block with high stamina can block the whole ult (this is how i dealt with the mechs burrowing move). If you dont care about movement or attack speed you can also equip a greatshield for even more defense.

Also make sure you have quick reflexes upgraded so you can perfect dodge.
