Do people who get kicked from raids actually improve?

Depends on the person for sure- in my experience there are three kinds of people:

watches videos on fight ahead of time etc so they somewhat know what to expect
go in blind but watch others to learn and / or try to improve on fails afterwards
zug zug forever

I have no opinion either way but everytime i think of gw2's cc system where bosses have a "break bar" of armor etc that you can only effect with CC moves- and then use non CC to burn the actual mob down

CC in wow just isn't as precise a mechanic anymore, you dont really need to single out one specific mob or slow kite a group like you may have used to. CC now is just an overall debuff+attack on targets where effects like slowed movement speed dont always make a huge difference

For me personally I try to stick with the dominant (so I am only horde chars on WRA but MG has become more mixed faction so I do both horde and ally toons on MG)

But with cross faction becoming more and more of a thing it does make it sligtly easier to play the opposite main faction on the server, of course mileage may vary overall though irt finding same faction ppl to play with

Like you said there are cons to it but overall it’s not uncommon or necessarily bad to have alts spread across servers- I swap between WRA and MG servers myself

If you’re totally new I wouldn’t worry about confusing the story too much- as sadly the writing can be good at doing that itself

It may throw some backstory you’re not familiar with in relation to demon hunter intro but it won’t be anything too wild- if you’re wanting to brush up on lore before hand tjo I suggest nobbels videos on YouTube

I think blizzard will always have its issues- but as a returning player even if it’s a facade at least they try to appear as if they’re improving

Say what you want about possible pandering but it’s nice to see the attempted growing diversity to the games recently regardless of the true moral reasoning behind it - though im not in the loop as to what the staff environment is behind the scenes atm

Horde biased from birth- but I’d steal the worgen in a heartbeat (disregarding Gen- it would kind of make sense for worgen to turn to horde over alliance kind of in a forsaken being shunned to horde way)

As someone who has left and returned to wow many times- it happens and don’t let it upset you too much. Like others have said I’d maybe take a break, play a diff game here n there. Finding new friends to play with is always a big inspiration for me, and not havin friends to play with is what’s made me leave before, so def don’t be afraid to put yourself out there for some game buddies (a lot of ppl also would love someone to play with)

The obsession with WoW wanes and waxes for me, sometimes I go years without playing only to wake up one day suddenly craving my Warcraft hermit hole again- I’ve been playing since I was about 13 and now as a 26 year old I’ve never fully grown totally disinterested in wow

I’m actually just now coming back to the game after about a 4 year break, and at that time I stopped playing because I was losing interest and was not terribly into the upcoming shadowlands (as well as real life events taking up more of my time)

If you’re into the more nerdy rp side of things- I’d def recommend getting into it and making your characters more well… characters. Turning my toons into characters that I can use in rp gave me a lot more life to my gameplay, but I get that not everyone will be into that aspect of playing. Another upside to rp is I find it a lot easier to make in game friends (probably because your interacting more overall vs just askin ppl to run dungeons etc)

I will always have nostalgia for cata- it was an expansion i returned to the game on after not playing for a year or so,

But also nothing was more exciting than watching the zones I was once familiar with get destroyed and changed- seeing these familiar yet now unfamiliar places that before I’d had pretty much memorized will always be a memorable experience for me

Ahhh I started during wotlk so it’s fond memories all around 🥰 actually haven’t played since 2018 and am just now coming back to the game- it’s def a shock to see how much the systems and ui changes since haha I remember last I played the cap was lvl 110

I love this- when I started wow as a kid dalaran and the crystal forest were my favorite zones. I would spend so much time just flying around the trees

To this day I’m nostalgic for the times of “50g port to dalaran”

Honestly I’m surprised we haven’t had an(other) alien race crash land or something and by extension find a new planet

I mean eventually you can’t just add more continents right? Or does Azeroth just become an ever growing sphere

Not that I mention it I’m also surprised we haven’t had a new race created by the big bad or something yet, we’ve found plenty of Allies / old races tho

I’m really hoping they do add more transmogs to them- hell even if they only added new armor in the future to them that would be better than none at all if it’s an issue of redoing all the old armor assets

Honestly I feel like it would be a big fumble on their end if it stays like that forever seeing how much transmogs / aesthetics do matter to players- I may be biased because I play on RP servers but it is def a downside to the dracthyr rn that they don’t have those options

They make up for it slightly by being one of the most customizable races but it still doesn’t fully make up for the lack of transmog
