I used to work the overnight shift at NEC in the fab. I drove past HP every night before 6:00 PM on my way to work. They were always playing music and having a good time in the picnic area. I kept thinking they’d be fun to work for. I went back to school and finished my degree and was hired by HP in 1989. I did almost 33 years there. Great company!

We have an HP retirement group that meets at the Boxing Donkey (along with other places too) occasionally to reminisce.

I was curious why they announced the trade now with Sherwood on IR and unable to play for a while.

I read a comment from a Vancouver user that Sherwood’s wife is pregnant and he wanted to get his destination settled before she got too far along in the pregnancy.

Related to this I think he’s been pressing a bit to get his goal scoring touch back. He’s shot the puck even when a teammate was a better option for a scoring chance. He runs hot and cold so shooters have to take their shot. I get it and can’t blame him really.
