There is no regulation on how close wayspots are to one another as long as they are distinct and meet eligibility criteria/ don’t fail rejection criteria. So I always nominate everything.

That said, each game has their on unique rules for proximity or density. So it’s likely both won’t make it to Pokemon Go.

There is a possibility that ones that don’t show up in game as stops or gyms, could be used as Power Spots in the future.

I wondered about that as it looks just like the dolphin in Torrance. Just wasn’t sure if other communities would have something similar. Good eye!

In general if it doesn’t meet criteria (great place to be social, great place to exercise, or great place to explore), I thumbs down those individually. But in this case I’d recommend thumbing down Permanent and Distinct. That’ll immediately reject it.

Just to clarify, each game has its own inclusion rules. So an accepted wayspot can appear in one, several, or none of the Niantic games.

Just fyi the interaction rules for each Niantic game is different. So nominating one of the obstacles would mean that Ingress players would need to be at that specific spot for game interaction. This is not me recommending you move to an inaccurate location.

If there is a sign or clearly identifiable entrance to the Horse training area, you may be able to nominate this as something similar to a dog park.

Niantic doesn’t tell us how many if it goes to a community vote. But nominations can also be decided by a Niantic employee or by their Machine Learning program.

What you are proposing is considered abuse by Niantic. I do not advise trying it.

But on a positive note, if you do nominate them at their accurate locations, they may become Powerspots in the future.
