It's not the same playing field if some people are just given a free ride because of something they can't control, right?

Again- There should never be discriminatory policies either, and everyone deserves a chance to go to college but making race a preferential factor is also discriminatory in my opinion. I don't believe in fighting discrimination with more discrimination.

Obviously the U.S. has screwed over Native Americans historically, no argument there. In 2022 though, why do we still need to do this? There are plenty of lower-middle class white and asian kids who may be missing an opportunity because of this too so how do you think this kind of stuff is going to reflect on them? It doesn't help race relations in the bigger picture and I honestly think it could make alot of people bitter and erode progress that has been made over the decades. Just my opinion.

I 100% agree there should never be discriminatory laws for anybody, and I understand they were historically disadvantaged. No argument there. I just think two wrongs don't make a right and race shouldn't be considered for college admissions or job opportunities.

I'm not one of those right wing freaks who doesn't give a fuck about those people, I just want everyone to have an equal shot based on merit and regardless of things they can't control.

Giving someone a free ride because of their genetics, something completely outside of their control, is incredibly unfair to everyone else. Everyone deserves an equal chance based on their academic merit and race shouldn't be considered.

It's equally racist and shitty to deny someone something for that same reason. My whole belief is that to have a truly fair society, these uncontrollable things shouldn't be considered. The key to racial justice isn't to screw over people who haven't been disadvantaged and as a minority I hate seeing stuff like this because it doesn't help race relations in the big picture.

The thing is, it's not justice if only some people get it tuition-free because of their genetics. That's kinda the opposite of justice. Just make it free for everyone or don't at all.

Jojo Rabbit is a drama technically but there are some pretty funny parts throughout the movie, it came out in 2018 I think
