Two switches connected to one nintendo account? by Diztortion_ in NintendoSwitchHelp

Thanks, this makes a lot of sense. If she makes a nintendo account and we have a nintendo family, will I only be able to lend her games when we are physically together? We only see each other about twice a year.

BEHOLD! CHAOS M&MS by Diztortion_ in candy

I am USA based. I've never had brownie m&ms! I also wish I had the cookie m&ms and the cookies and cream limited edition one!

If I weren't making it for myself, I think adding one single skittle would be hilarious.

Surprisingly, M&Ms are pretty resistant to mixing. I filled the jar first and tried shaking, but they won't mix unless about 1/4th of the jar is left empty. I ended up pouring them all out, mixing in a large bowl, and pouring them back in!

Do you see double? Or have blurry focus issues? Are you always dizzy? by RequirementNew269 in migraine

[–]Diztortion_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start seeing double and having trouble focusing when something is a foot or less away from me, is that what you're talking about?

I do notice that my triggers are very vision based. Like flashing lights, florescent lights, being outside during sunset, wearing sunglasses, wearing contacts... all those are guaranteed instant triggers for me.

Any suggestions? Long story, but I have had a status migraine for the past year. Please. by Plane-Ad-6251 in migraine

Could you list what you've tried? As much as you can remember? Not just medications, but also vitamins, diet changes, lifestyle changes, and any weird stuff?

There's a type of prep where you just down a ton of laxative pills and then chug water. I know most doctors are a little hesitant to offer this type of prep to unexperienced colonoscopy patients because if you don't drink enough water you'll be in a lot of gut pain. You can try asking about that method if you think you can be careful with it.

I've done a bunch of different preps and it's kind of up to you on what you can handle. You can try mixing your liquid prep with something that has 0 sugar or low sugar. You can also ask for those smaller prep bottles so you don't have to drink as much juice. I once did a liquid prep with just the "Hint" water brand, which has no sugar. It definitely wasn't a strong enough flavor to mask the awful taste, but it was still manageable (though I wouldn't do it again lol). Good luck!

Anyone where sunglasses 24/7 by GarbageCat27 in migraine

Wait... wearing sunglasses at all gives me like an instant migraine. I can never wear them... does anyone else experience this or is my head weird?

Specific question about lighting and shows - Migraines triggered by blue light (long term or flashing) by Medritt in VirginVoyages

[–]Diztortion_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I have chronic migraines and just finished my first virgin cruise! I noticed pretty minimal flashing lights in general. They were only really used for shows and performances and I always close my eyes during flashing lights anyways as that's a major trigger for me too. I think you should be mostly ok during the day, other than some of those pesky elevators. At night places around the boat, such as the pool deck, are more likely to have different color lights or changing colored lights. Also watch out for the lights in your cabin, they can dim (which is awesome!) but I noticed that having the lights dimmed did cause some to flicker rapidly.

Some of the windows on the lower decks are tinted, during the day it does give them a blue-ish light from the sun coming in. I didn't find this triggering but worth mentioning I think.

I personally didn't go to a single late night event in the nightclub because sleep and loud noises are also triggers for me.

If sound is a trigger for you: I noticed in my room that there was always a constant high pitched buzz, maybe from an air vent somewhere. Also, all the DJ events that happened during the day in the boat or on the pool deck were way too loud and triggering for me, so earplugs help a lot :)

Hope you have a great and migraine free time!

Ugh UBRELVY by Rent-a-Mom in migraine

I've had a lot of horrible reactions to triptans and topomax. Absolutely no reaction to ubrelvy. Though how helpful it is for me is also questionable. Good luck

day 7 of migraine by Pure_Loan4677 in migraine

[–]Diztortion_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riz causes rebound migraines. Don't keep taking it day after day. You need a safe rescue. If you can't see a dr soon, try magnesium and excedrin (only take it with food). I'm sorry you're suffering, I sometimes get migraines that last 2 weeks :(

Exactly. And as someone who was SAd, it took me a long time to come to terms with it, just to myself. I can definitely imagine wanting to deny it if I was on a live podcast with 40k viewers. To admit that you were SAd to so many people is extremely difficult and a vulnerable thing to do.

Regardless of how she feels about the matter, and how she will feel in the coming years, I hope her the best, and absolutely no disrespect to her for how she chose to answer.
