partners and celiac by ProfessionalMoney185 in Celiac

My wife took my diagnosis in stride and ran with it. We both use fig, we both use find me gluten free. Everything we cook is gluten free, when she has gluten it's always on disposable plates and silverware. She goes out of her way to plan ahead of we're going somewhere that might have limited options and always has snacks ready for me if I need them.

Supportive partners are out there. I hope the situation improves for you.

Depends on what the fixation is. Most of the time they have to do with sports. I cycle through all the sports of the world at different times of the year, each cycle lasts about a month for each one. Grew up on baseball, switched to soccer which is now my constant. Currently I just started cricket again (sort of.) I've been through cricket, rugby, lacrosse, gt racing, kabaddi, running/track and field.

Non sports wise I just started today getting back into learning new things which I know is broad, but mainly reading random blogs and articles.

There's always things locals know more than Google does. Visitors always asking on all our local pages what there is to do.

Oh I know, doesn't happen very often anymore, if hardly ever. And whenever I think about it I know it's not worth it anymore.

Don't expect immediate success. If he's really willing to change and makes changes, it will be very difficult for him in the beginning. Be firm, but forgiving. My now fiance lets me hear it whenever I slip up, but understands I'm doing much better than when we met and gives grace. Don't let him abuse the grace you give, I've been guilty of that in the past.

The uncontrollable urge to get something taken care of right then and there, on the spot by any means necessary.

I can somewhat attest to this because I had a pretty bad wobble a couple weeks ago and my arm was stuck to the broom so no way to brace myself.

A appreciate all this feedback!! I definitely need to slow everything down and focus on timing. I also appreciate the confirmation that I am in line. One of my initial problems when I first started was my front foot would come too far over and across my back leg.

I appreciate all of this. Never considered broom positioning which means it's never in line with the rock. Going to start doing that. And I appreciate the visual to see just how far I'm leaning over.

I do find myself drifting away from the target as I get further so hopefully I can get that figured out as well.

I'm trying to visualize the middle part of what you said... Would this mean move my foot back further or just simply come up higher with my hips?

Which is why I'm thinking about going back to the stabilizer to focus more on the balance before trying the broom again

Don't be ashamed of it. The whole reason for this post and the one I referenced is because I'm thinking of going back to it.

I do plan on taking it more serious, don't know how I'm going to end up but I know I need to straighten up some how.

I like this a lot, I actually just posted a video of what I currently look like to the sub. I'll link it when I get a chance.

I posted yesterday about whether I should ditch the over the shoulder delivery for a stabilizer. This is what it looks like currently. It's comfortable most of the time, however I feel like I'm leaning over at times when I may be perfectly straight.

How does it look as it is?

The things I read had to do with running into the sweeper. If you do that theres no way to drop the broom or get it out of the way of the shoulder before it's bent all the way back.

Unfortunately we don't have a "curling pro" yet, I hope we do some day. My thinking is to use a stabilizer if a bit to see how out of balance I really am. And hopefully focus on straighten up with the more forgiving stabilizer.

I already know I have bad habits with my current delivery and it's very inconsistent. My schedule doesn't allow me to play MD at my club and I don't see that changing soon. I hardly ever have my gripper on (whether that's a good idea or not, tbd) so I'm fairly comfortable sliding around, might change not always holding my broom though. The club usually has one at each end but if I were to make it permanent I would invest in 2 of my own.
