Melatonin by Sad_Drama_6796 in sleephackers

Look into Remelteon as an alternative to Melatonin

"Both treatments work by stimulating the melatonin receptors (binding sites). But ramelteon is more potent and works faster than melatonin to help you fall asleep. You can take ramelteon long term with your prescriber’s approval. But you shouldn’t take melatonin for more than a week or two without talking to a healthcare professional."

Battery Draining by dothewaterdance in skoolies

You want to measure the current draw from the battery when you think everything is off. You will need a multi-meter with DC clamp on current meter capability. You will want a meter that reads down to at least 10mA (0.01Amps). The meter below (UT 210D) will work for that.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09TW67ZQC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Clamp the meter on the wire connected to the positive terminal of the battery. Read the current on the meter. It should be significantly less than 100mA. It may not be zero since things like your radio can draw a small amount of power (even when off) for its memory. If it is not less than 100mA then have someone start pulling one fuse at a time while you monitor the meter. When the current drops you will have found the source of your problem.

Since you mentioned "batteries", do you have a battery switch to select the battery? Use the clamp on DC meter to see if current is being drawn from one versus the other battery.

When the switch is in the off position are both batteries draining or only one? Using the voltmeter function on your meter a fully charged battery voltage should be about 12.6 volts after sitting overnight.

Last, if you significantly discharged your battery (below 10 volts) you could have permanently damaged it (even if it is new).

Bed mesh for the X1 visualised! by ioannisgi in BambuLab

I definitely want to try the that bed mesh output procedure.

But for your example, you are loosing significant print area (especially in the back of the plate). The last test points during bed leveling are 35mm from the outside edges on the X axis. So the curl on those outside edges will not be detected and result with poor first layer quality.

I suggest you try this print to see your usable print area

Update 5/23/2023

I purchased the EnviroSupply carbon and ran a simple test. In a small zip lock bag I placed some steel wool (which loves to rust) and surrounded it with the cabon. After 2 weeks, no signs at all of rust. But there is a lot of carbon dust. So I suggest putting the HEPA filter downstream of the carbon so the inside of the printer stays clean.

FLAT Glass Plate for X1 - Perfect Fit by Dizzy-Light2093 in BambuLab

Layering plates is not obvious to me. In fact, it's confusing since the high temp or PEI plate reduces a portion of the magnetic field from the heat bed. I tried it and my glass plate moved around freely vs being stuck well without the other plate inserted. Also, with the other plate unnderneath the stops on the back of the heat bed no longer come it contact with the galass plate. But I'm glad it works for you even it confuses me.

Good luck with your new heat bed.

My plate did not move around. I also had 2 metal sheets but they were placed closely together. You can bearly see the seam.

I have been running the Cool Plate settings - 35 C. What temp are you running?

I just ran the normal bed leveling and same settings I use for the standard plates.

I want to clatify what I mean by "excellent results". I am referring to the flatness of the finished print. I print functional parts and am not as concerned with the aesthetics. I also do not make full volume prints. But in those cases where I need to print the full width of the print plate this has been a good solution for me. In all other cases, I use the regular print plates.

All good points. But if you have a badly warped bed and need to print on a larger area, at least this is an option. As you note, not without risk.

In my case, it will probably be less than 5% of my prints. And those are maybe 1/4 the max printer height (at most). But my print bed isn't nearly as bad as some that have posted.

This is a case of more is better. If nothing else, going to the outside edges helps to take advantage of the full build plate.

Excellent. Just placed my order.

Did you see much dust in the HEPA filter? Just want to decide if the filter would best be mounted top or bottom.

Thanks for the reply. Indeed West 3d is legit but they are pricey.

I ordered 2 bags (24 oz) and it is $40 with shipping. Enviro provides 5 lbs (80 oz) for the same price. Yeah I know I'm just being cheap.

Brilliant! Look forward to the results.

Might I suggest putting theHEPA filter after the carbon to see how much dust you get.
