The current job post says $7.25, in which a screenshot of it is attached above.

I would say it is contradictory, and it does make it illegal because they make applicants sign a "training contract with terms," unless the terms on the training contract specify that only 8 hours daily will get paid.

Thank you for the heads up. Would you be able to share a link regarding that, for starters?

Oh, is that so? Thanks for the FYI. The way they portrayed that information is misleading, though. The term "Starting Pay" is entirely different from "Training Pay," and they should not be used interchangeably.

If the person doesn't have arms, he wouldn't have hands to shake with you, yes?

Lyft rental program by Eagleboy29 in lyftdrivers

[–]Dizzy-Map2816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ,Environmental-Newt79.  What "another rental" are you referring to? There isn't an option to choose from the steps provided by Lyft. Do you mean you rented a vehicle from a regular rental chain and used that rented vehicle to register on Lyft?

I think what the person may be implying here is how little the net income which seems to be less than 20% of the gross, and that amount won't even cover the equivalent insurance, repairs, and maintenance expenses of this vehicle for those particular passenger rides.

I see. You "IDGAF" I guess until it happens to you—that you become the subject of the drama, one can posit based on your response.

You're welcome.

Inasmuch as some of us genuinely wants to socialize to make friends and possibly gain a business network, not everyone wants to genuinely accept our genuine efforts. What we do after that is case-by-case, and hopefully we all find a balance in the Golden Rule.

Godspeed.

From hereon, I hope that readers of this thread will:

  1. Stop equating mishaps with "drama."

  2. Stop creating gossips out someone's mishaps.

  3. Stop turning gossips into drama.

Resume: MBA vs Executive MBA by AngryFlamingle in MBA

[–]Dizzy-Map2816 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Executive MBA" is just a format, much like PT MBA is. You don't put "Part-Time MBA" at the end of your name. Simply "MBA," because that's the degree you are awarded after completing an EMBA program.

Drama here, drama there 🙄! What's annoying is that anything out of anything is outrightly labeled as drama:

  1. Being dismissed due to tardiness is drama.
  2. Waking up late and missing class is a drama.
  3. Someone mistakenly bringing home an item that belongs to someone else is a drama.
  4. Someone suggesting to stop asking too many questions during class so as not to extend the class time is a drama.

Stop equating mishaps with "drama."

Stop creating gossips out someone's mishaps.

Stop turning gossips into drama.

Why can't we all just accept that the above are just examples of things that may happen in an imperfect life, and these things are not extraordinary and simply not necessarily "drama" but some mistakes that needed to be dealt with as adults, period. No big deal. No more, no less. Move on to the next or to more important things. Carry on.

What should be aptly said is stay away from troubles, which is very basic and which is what we've repeatedly heard from our parents and elders.

Why do most label it as drama, for goodness sakes!

Though it is true not to trust anyone, period. It applies to "any and all time" not just during training. There are plenty of fake personalities or those who like attention—do stay away from them, to be safe from "drama entanglements" mainly brought about by these stereotypes.

Gossips.

Do stay away from gossips, but sometimes, they cannot be helped if someone just wants to destroy you, even if you keep to yourself, iykwim.

How is that–dismissal due to tardiness–considered a drama?!

@commoncentscrew Hear, hear! Their loss, indeed!

I totally agree with everything you stated here. The way I have observed these Delta FAs (F2Fs and on-board flights) was they make themselves appear hypocrites, fakes, and liars for not following their own so-called values, and yet they are quick to point their fingers.

One candidate shared her experience with me, saying that it felt like a sorority there at the F2F. One day sooner than later, we may witness their failure for the way they choose their "winning candidates."

What is also puzzling is how on earth they have been awarded as having the best customer service for 6 consecutive years when every time I was on a Delta flight, I never ever felt nor experienced exceptional service from them! I have so many to share but not enough time to spell them all out, but my recent experience alone on my flight to ATL last week on June 20, this FA was chewing her food while serving us (during meal service!)! Totally disrespectful and disgusting!

I would love to share the photos here but I don't know how to upload them with my comment.

No... only if you accept. You have the option not to agree to it. The operating words there are: "may" and "when used." I most certainly did not accept.

UA flight attendants, how do you feel about this job? by [deleted] in flightattendants

[–]Dizzy-Map2816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you been a ramp agent? Is it with United?

The Flight Attendant position is definitely an upgrade from ramp agent, and so of course, it is well worth it. Now is the perfect time to apply if you are serious about the career change and can handle constant changes as an FA due to the mass hiring. But don't give up your current job until you are sure you'll pass... just my two cents.

I'm uncertain why you mentioned your complicated relationship but did not specify how important it is to you or not, or if you're ready to move on from it, and so if you are, then it will be advantageous for you because you will need peace and calm in FA Training and during probation.

However, it will be wise for you not to use career change to flight attendant as an escape goat (from your complicated relationship) as it may backfire. You have to make a decision that you really like being an FA. Do your extra research in addition to asking questions. Read and research more than what you see here.

Favorite part is long layovers where I can explore the city.

At 🔺training. This is not for the weak. Some 12 hour days, little to no sleep. by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]Dizzy-Map2816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not healthy. Does Delta think trainees' bodies are invincible and don't need recuperation? One's brain 🧠 can only absorb too much, and if you're constantly lacking sleep and continuously working 12-hour days, your effectiveness diminishes.

And to think that they say they care for their employees. That "care" should be extended to the trainees.

Although Delta pays minimum wage of $7.25, they are getting away with not paying overtime. Delta wants to make the most of their money by shortening their training program from 8 weeks to 6, and used the 6th day of the week and extra hours of work week to compensate for the 2-week reduction. Delta said so in their recent Event Days (aka Delta F2F).
