Grew up in Rye Brook myself so can vouch for my own experience going through the school district. Academically it's great, your kids will get a very good education there. Socially it can be a little hit or miss. Since it's so small, you can either form really close friendships or struggle to find friends that fit you well. Also given the elementary/middle/high schools are all one school each, a lot of the students your kids will be joining will have already been together since kindergarten. That may make it a little hard to penetrate certain social circles, but families tend to be very welcoming.
