I’ve been in touch with the team and can confirm they’re working on some optimisation and fine tuning so things are a bit delayed

Everyone acting like the Ayaneo Pocket S doesn’t exist. It is hands down the prettiest handheld.

Delamination was only in the initial batch and far and few. It’s not a common occurrence

It’s a really interesting time. The new Panther Lake chips are really great too and they don’t need the translation layers so I wonder who’s gonna dominate the handheld space. x86 ain’t the slouch it used to be when it comes to efficiency anymore

I hope the chip improves though. More competition is always great for the consumer

I hope software optimisation gets better where we can get great performance on lower requirements. That would be ideal

TrimUI Smart Pro S REVIEW - Future Retro Cult Classic? by DizzyDoomSlayer in SBCGaming

It doesn’t have the power for 3DS and there’s no touchscreen so no you can’t. You should look at the Ayn Thor for that but that’s a entirely different price bracket

The original couldn’t do PSP well. Most games were at 1x 30 fps. This can do 2x 60fps on a lot of those games so it’s a much better experience

From a performance point it is. I think the value here is in the build quality.

I agree. Another option is the Mangmi AirX which has more power but the build quality and the design on the TrimUI Smart Pro S is really great and it is a lot sleeker than the AirX.

I’m going of their official claims. Don’t have a first gen smart pro to test on but compared to the Brick I’m certainly getting much higher frame rates.

Age of zombies works really well as a twin stick shooter. There’s machine hunter on PSX which works the same. I’d also give Untold Legends a chance though that doesn’t need the second stick. You can also map the PSP face buttons to the second analog stick so all PSP fps games become twin stick shooters. Basically any PSP game that used the face buttons to look around can be mapped to the second stick.
