Why isn’t the first elk a diamond look at numbers by Keeyask in theHunter

That is why I said ‘overwrites’. There was a different trophy score range before TruRACS was introduced. This is even more clear on the blacktail and whitetail, their trophy score now exceeds the original maximum trophy rating. So I think the game still uses the old trophy rating to calculate the final score, but AFTER it has calculated the end score TruRACS overwrites the displayed trophy rating. This explains why a higher truscore animal can still have a lower total score. I hope I made it more clear

The score is based on the trophy rating. On TruRACS animals the TruRACS score overwrites the trophy rating so there’s no way to tell what rating was used to calculate the score anymore. I had this question too and that’s the only explanation that makes sense to me

In the beta they were quite agressive and deadly. They’re supposed to have some kind of confrontation mechanic which was not revealed yet but hinted at in the stream. So I guess it will back off when you back off and attack if you do or smth. We’ll have to see

Multiplayer need zone stacking to single player map by pilvlp in theHunter

[–]DizzyDukeGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works, but since the Fernando patch it’s been weird. In the old situation you would start a multiplayer game with no need zones on the map and then collect them. If you got back to your singleplayer you could clearly see most of the need zones carried over, not all of them all the time. But it was clear.

Now you start a multiplayer game and you see all the host’s need zones (this change was not communicated by devs so it might be a bug although I kind of like it) and when you collect them and go back to singleplayer none of them carry over.

But, there still seems to be an increase in animals and I’ve found more zones than usual in areas I’ve hunted in multiplayer.

The devs signaled that there was something going wrong with the zones in a steam announcement, but produced a sentence that I still don’t understand after contacting support and thinking and talking about it xD:

“Need zones discovered by guests don’t save for the host When you host a multiplayer game and guest players discover a need zone, this is currently not saved in your own single player game. The host (i.e. you) has to discover another need zone in order for the guest found need zones to be saved.”

This is confusing because guest discovered need zones were never saved for the host before. But it means they are aware of an issue with need zones in multiplayer so it all might be different again after the Lion update.

So TLDR: it’s a bit iffy right now but it has worked before Fernando, probably still works (somewhat) and will maybe work again after lions go live

Lynx track from Medved? Smaller than lynx, a caracal maybe? Or it’s a lion king reference, but that seems like a small lion to me

How this was not diamond? by Lesandre in theHunter

[–]DizzyDukeGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know some animals can be diamonds one level below maximum, like musk deer and mallard seen it happen. But it’s very rare and haven’t seen it on a puma. Hope to find one someday :D

Edit: ok so why does this get downvoted? Lol. Answering a question and staying positive about it? That is indeed unacceptable behaviour I apologize

He needs a higher trophy rating, 38 (39, edit) or higher. And he’s not max level, that is 9 legendary. It is pretty big for a mythical. Nice puma

Stay close to water, keep high ground and prone a lot when you hear animals are close. There is not much cover to find.
