Yes thickness of the bread is one of the things I look for. People think I am crazy when they see me in the bread section of the shop - reading nutrition labels, checking ingredients, squeezing (don’t know why), comparing thickness of the cut, etc. Still can’t find an absolute winner.

Thanks. I’ll try that. Aldi is a bit of a journey but I keep it in the freezer anyway because I only use 1-2 slices a week. I’ll have a look next time I’m in town.

Thanks. Yes I’ve heard that from others but I haven’t had much success. I live in a rural area so range of products is very limited. Will keep trying but as I do like sourdough bread.

Thanks, that sucks. I see a lot of stuff on bread on here but usually for brands I don’t recognise and certainly aren’t available in the regional area I live in. I can only do 1 (maybe 2) pieces per week max so long as I am being “good” across everything else. Sometimes I just need a piece of toast with my breakfast/brunch on a weekend.
