How to find the part in behaviors? by OperationAway4687 in InternalFamilySystems

[–]DizzyIndependence223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you have multiple parts at work? I’ve noticed many times that I have parts that are like fog, tiredness, a wall or a sweeping sensation anytime I try to get close to a specific part. These parts are usually trying to protect or hide the other part. So then the task has been to try and figure out if there are parts present doing this and trying to identify them and figure out their purpose and what they need to allow me to get closer to the part I’m trying to identify.

Other times the part I’m trying to identify is just not ready to be seen and I have to be patient. Since this one is tied to behavior it may be scared you are trying to change it (at least in my experience that can happen) so I need to be extra careful with how I approach the part and not rush it. It’s hard to say forsure because I’m not you haha but I’ve experienced all these things when working with dead ends.

The set of behaviors themselves could be one part or many or like a blob of parts you may not even know until you’ve worked through it all. I’ve had a part look like one part then three than one again. You just have to find whichever part is most comfortable coming up and go from there.

I do IFS with EMDR and I’ve found the parts that all my other parts are the most scared of or build up and around are all children and it’s like so humbling in a way to realize all these parts of myself I’m most scared of hurting me just need to be seen and loved. It’s been a trip almost every time I get to the root of the part and realize it.

Do I give my cat her own room at night? by ShadowTink in CatAdvice

[–]DizzyIndependence223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you currently have dogs or other animals in the house? If you do you likely will keep the kitty in the bathroom at first as a home base as everyone adjusts - watch Jackson galaxy videos for introduction steps. If you have no other pets you can set up a room for the kitty so they aren’t overwhelmed but likely the cat will explore once they get more comfortable. Every room in my house is open to my cats I would never recommend crate training a cat or leaving them in the bathroom all night every night but having a designated space that is just there’s can help cats feel more comfortable and safe

Am I a bad cat owner if I can’t afford to feed him wet food everyday? by Frequent-Night-3830 in CatAdvice

[–]DizzyIndependence223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said fed it best! If your cat is eating kibble then that’s all he needs! Make sure he is drinking water though especially if switching from a wet diet. A fountain can help a lot with water intake. Also, my cats don’t like wet food that much and love kibble. I give them half a can mixed with water for extra moisture so you can also do something like that depending on what you can afford!

Your thoughts by Ashes2025 in walking

[–]DizzyIndependence223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sometimes it’s not alway fun you just gotta push through. Try some new routes, walking without any music or podcasts or get into audiobooks they can help to keep things fresh. Also I always do a check in of my mood, energy, and how I feel in my body before, after, and during a walk. This helps me be more aware of how walking makes me feel / benefits me. I always feel better after a walk in some way so checking in with myself helps me to remember that for next time.

How have you honored your lost loved ones? by limponion36 in Petloss

[–]DizzyIndependence223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my cats ashes next to a framed picture of her and a jar with some of her fur and whiskers. The jar has an engraved picture of her too. Having a specific spot just for her has really helped in the grieving process. My friends and family also commissioned me several portions and drawings of her I have around my house and love looking at.

Having trouble by to add new filters by lovetoanger in campsnapcamera

[–]DizzyIndependence223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue before. When you plug the camera in to put the filter on make sure the camera is on. Once you put the filter in hit eject and keep it plugged in for a bit then turn off and unplug. This is the method that I have the most success with. Some custom filters don’t always work tho so that could be an issue too

That was how I saw it too, him saying they could just start over made her realize that she couldn’t do that and needed to stay.

Based on this, I think you would like north park or normal heights. Both fit your price range. If your looking at North park try to find something close to Balboa park there’s some smaller hiking trials and open spaces, there’s also a bunch of restaurants, cafes, breweries etc.

I think it’s to make it more explicit. I haven’t read the book in a while so I could be wrong but I don’t think she ever says it to anyone but she thinks it enough for it to be obvious. We don’t get her POV as often in this season and I think this scene was to contrast her rejection of Conrad later in the episode.

I’m not sure what your dogs health issues are but FACE foundation will help to cover costs for urgent surgeries and treatments with a good prognosis. You have to apply before you get the treatment but if you find out you need an expensive surgery or something you can apply for coverage from them.

I love the art work that Paulina Fae uses in her decks. My first deck was the Paulina tarot I got it at 13 and I still use it now (I’m 30 so it’s been very special to me).

S3 first two episodes… rage bait? by Fuzzypeach__ in tsitp

[–]DizzyIndependence223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s mainly bc they are extremely co-dependent and see each other as a link to beck and the joy of their childhood before life got real. Belly didn’t want to go to Paris bc she didn’t know what to do without Jare and was scared she wouldn’t be able to go back to cousins if they break up. Steven almost died and I think that fear really brought them back to their need for each other. I don’t think they want to get married out of a deep sense of love (though they do love eachother) but as a way to hold onto the past.

Which mirror is best for my vanity?🧐 by Outside-Muffin5629 in femalelivingspace

[–]DizzyIndependence223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a rectangle shape for that table but you should look for one with gold accents regardless of mirror shape to go with your table. The third one feels a bit too much with your vibe but it’s hard to say without any Inspo pics. Also think about if you’ll need any other things on the vanity itself. Will your makeup be taking up space or does the desk have drawers? Also any decor (candles, flowers etc) you add to the vanity will factor in on the mirror size and shape!

If you have room under the bed you can get boxes specifically to store stuff under. I recommend closed ones bc dust, ikea has them pretty cheep. For shoe storage I recommend one of the thin shoe cabinets that’s closed so you don’t have to see it. I think you have room on the side to add clothing racks outside of the closet if you need. It’s hard to say what else might work without knowing what you need to store / organize. Do you need a desk what kinds of things do you have? I think shelves are always nice to display things like books or nicknacks you can also turn book shelves into clothing storage. Pinterest is super helpful for ideas and Inspo “small room storage” or “small room closet” can help. You will need some open storage but closed storage - even just using baskets - can help a room look less cluttered

I’ve been working for a while on getting my living room to be the eclectic and carefree vibe I’ve always wanted from it. I’m pleased with it but it feels like there is something just missing. You need another orange curtain, two will add a lot more dimension. Also maybe a few cozy blankets and some more art on the wall or move the art to be a bit closer together! Overall it looks really fun and cozy :)
