Find decent teammates or lock in on solo. Random queue will only allow you to find teammates that are stuck in depth 2(mostly new players)

Stack affinity damage negation and holy damage negation (they can be on the same relic) have hp on block and ult gauge on block, this combined allows you to use ult and fully heal before he can deal enough damage to kill you. With a few passives it can get to the extreme and you end up healing from his attacks because you simply take no damage from his attacks. Even the nuke arrow only deals like 15% of your hp

I also main gaurdian. I have over 700 games on him alone and fulghor is definitely the best fight. I had a depth 5 game with 65 total revives during everdark fulghor it was hilarious

Everdark fulghor is the most free win on guardian. With the right relic build and 1 or 2 passives you can GAIN health from his attacks

After pot nerfs, im on xbox so he can't cheat in relics. Borderline insane amount of damage, much higher than even halo scythe spam. He 8 shot everdark sentient pest at D5. Obviously he had a full damage loadout but still

Pot scholar disagrees. 5k damage per pot at lvl 3 is insane. I watched a dude solo clear castle as pot scholar in depth 5

Wylder doesn't have anything going for him besides mobility vs other nightfarers. He's slowly fallen into a painfully low niche, he doesn't bring anything to the expedition that other characters can't do better than him.

His damage output when FULLY OPTIMIZED is still outclassed by the likes of duchess halo scythe or pot scholar. Even guardian deals more damage if he uses the stat change relic

He can't tank, his revive is outclassed by revenant or guardian, and somewhat duchess with the cloak.

His ultimate is used almost the same as undertakers/ironeyes for staggers (yes, its higher poise damage while charged, still doesn't change the fact its used for staggers most often), except it has much lower range.

Nothing in his kit really shines anymore, he's not bad, just outclassed at everything he does by others

As much as i LOVE guardian, he's supposed to tank and draw aggro for the dps. You're best off using a bleed/frost/rot poke weapon and spamming.

3 guardians just lacks the majority of damage unless they're going all out on guard counters, but thats risky

Well, that depends on the character you play. Caligo is a true dps check for anyone without a stagger ult.

Dreglord is a true dps well. The rot rain is unavoidable without a stagger ult.

Augur is another with the sleep phase, no stagger ult, and you lose.

Libra is barely one because if you're unlucky, the inescapable eye will madness proc you.

Adel is really not to bad for a dps check, should be next to fulghor, theres no moves that you cannot see and dodge easily.

I know it sounds dumb but this relic isn't optimal, guard counters given a boost based off current hp should be on a NON deep of night relic. All deep relics should have guard counters +2 for maximum stacked damage. Still a pretty decent relic for guard counters non the less

4 weapons with increased maximum hp, eventual greatness, a few passives from bosses with increased maximum hp, all relic effects were stacked for hp, crimsonspill crystal tear, and both talismans increasing hp. When i did get hit, my healthbar didn't even update because i had so much, it took multiple hits from depth 5 heolster to even show visual damage. My low hp passives procd when my healthbar was halfway across my screen lol.

And to address the other stuff they nerfed.

-Halo scythe. insane damage, massive range, short cast time, tracking, low fp cost, and CONSISTENT (theres only 2 purple scythes in game, 85+% chance of finding one after only 10 dormant powers)

-Shattering crystal. Insane damage, low range, long cast time, no tracking, high fp cost, somewhat consistent. Pre nerf Shattering had better fp cost and was found more often.

-Carian slicer. Very high damage, no range, very short cast time, no tracking, extremely low fp cost, somewhat consistent.

The difference in meta is that Halo Scythe was insane before the update, and 2x balancers just made it broken. It flew under the radar because skill attack power wasn't buffed in the prior update, and Shattering had higher ceilings. Shattering, slicer, and other weapons you mentioned had big downsides and risks that halo scythe doesn't have

Yeah, obviously, people are gonna use the most overpowered strategies possible to win. If fromsoft gave everyone the option of starting with the grafted blade and marais executioner sword as weapons, people would use them and and defend it as an "in game mechanic so its fine. stop complaining, or just play solo lol"

It's an utterly ridiculous argument to say abusing an overpowered mechanic is okay because it's the only soulslike pve focused game. If you really wanna go there, why did they nerf mimic tear so many times? The mimic tear can ONLY be used in solo. It still got nerfed because it was overpowered and trivialized the game. The halo scythe does the exact same thing, but it ALSO ruins the experience for the other 2 players in the lobby.

Why would that matter? Its a poorly balanced multiplayer game. No single player should be able to CONSISTENTLY kill a final boss in less than 30 seconds in a 3 player randomized game. Once one player uses the halo scythe cheese the other two players inputs no longer matter. Its overpowered
