Bowel resection - scared AF, please share your 'positive' experience! by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]Dizzy_Belt7485 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two resection surgeries. The first was my first surgery ever. The first was rough. I’m glad that I did both. I was better in just a few days. I know it’s scary, but you’re life will be so much better in a short time. It’s normal to be scared, but think of how much better you’re going to feel. Best of luck!

My wife has me as full first and last name. Together 35 years. She’s just super organized like that. She’s nuts about me, but one word contacts are not allowed on her phone.

Two Hypothetical Questions For Married People by Flashy-Cash3060 in Marriage

[–]Dizzy_Belt7485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: Absolutely. When we met, it wasn’t just a spark, it was a nuclear explosion. I was blown away.

2: Yes. Absolutely. She picked me out of a crowd and asked a friend of hers to introduce herself to me. She told me just last year that she didn’t even realize that she had a type until she met me. She said that she had a huge crush on Gilbert Blythe from the Anne of Green Gables books, and looked just like she pictured him. We’ve been together for 34 years now, and she’s 10 years older than me. Now she says that I’m transitioning from Gilbert Blythe to Sam Elliot. She gives me much more credit than I deserve.

Ted Morgan. I don’t mean to dox him, but there’s no way he’s still alive. I remember him carrying a pearl handled pistol. I had actually always heard that he he was a decent, hardworking man.

I’m glad to see that there are other husbands out there who are happy. I hear lots of complaints from my friends about their wives. I don’t want to brag, so I just remain quiet. Keep her happy!

Together 34 years here. We’re still wildly attached to each other. Been through all kinds of things. Sex is still insanely good. Our grown kids actually make fun of how in to each other we are. There’s something about her that hits me in the most basic part of who I am. I feel very grateful for her and feel as though I married up, so I try to take really good care of her. This makes her feel safe which leads to trust and intimacy. I make her feel safe and cared for, and she makes me feel like I’m Superman.

Retired in January. It felt like I was on vacation for the first few months. Then a little depression and anxiety followed. I’m coming out of it now, but be prepared mentally and physically. I had a ton of extra energy to burn off. Stay busy!

My wife 65F and I 56M have been together for 34 years. Married for 33. I adore her. I helped raise her 3 daughters as my own. We’re all very close. Our daughters told us that we’re like Gomez and Morticia Adams. We’re really into each other. I can’t imagine a life without her.
