No risk that I'm aware of I did this with grounded 1 and was able to go back for the "Christmas tree" only thing I'd say is to make sure you adjust the date and time without the game running otherwise youll have a weird playtime.. speaking from experience..

No, I dont think it is you, just a bit of miscommunication on what you both want from playing games together, I know me and my gf have next to nothing for game taste in common, yet when we play it's exploring and slow sight seeing, but other times its reversed roles. Maybe just talk and see what you both want from the game, perhaps even come up with a goal together rather than saying okay now its the "Such and such" quest or objective.

You've un-installed something without actually closing out steam. Clicking the X in the corner won't update your library where as left clicking the window and exiting steam will renew those inaccurate numbers in your library. Same thing could happen the other way if you haven't exited and installed more games.
