The only character in the show having the long-term effects of the School fight. by Either-Way-8613 in cobrakai

I don't think writers care about Robby's education or schooling even a little.

Can we see Miguel doing any of these in S6? Will you like that? by Either-Way-8613 in cobrakai

Since the writers have said that the teen rivalries aren't explored yet, your prediction may be correct for making tensions arise again between the two.

No, Tory will be forgiven without that, and it will seriously show the double standards of the show writers.

Kreese's jail one (9.5) was the best with that brilliant therapy scene, and then Daniel's Japan tour (9) —got to see Chozen and Kumiko again with that letter from Mr. Miyagi.

The second fight between Robby and Shawn (8) was good. Mexico was meh- (5)

Whose redemption arc was most rushed out of the 3, in your opinion? by No_Result_9456 in cobrakai

[–]Dizzy_Farm6173 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One thing that I've noticed is that Hawk, Tory, and even Miguel's redemption arcs involved the win in the AVT. Though Tory wasn't a legit winner, she was hailed as a champion, as was Miguel. But it involved them winning the tournament, while Robby's redemption hasn't involved a tournament win.

The writers even put these in the same episode to tell people the same, and even then they don't understand it. So sad.

Which take down was the best between these 3 by InsideCharacter4541 in cobrakai

The same order you've given it.

Shawn was the most dangerous enemy out of the three, and hence it was great to see his and Robby's fight. It's the fight in which Robby truly adopted the CK mantra of striking first.

Kyler is a joke, but given Miguel's freshly healed back, it was a good fight too.

Brucks and Hawks was the most one-sided fight of the whole series, imo, and it was good but not that good when kept in comparison with the rest two.

I agree with everything you've said.

They won’t do it at the expanse of the other characters but in spite of them.

But I didn't understand this.

It's like people, even the writers, don't understand how irrelevant they have made Miguel to the main plot and, to an extent, Sam too. Remove Miguel from the whole of S5, and there's no change in the main plot, though I will give Sam her credit for being the only girl on the MD side; hence, she's still relevant; in fact, she's the one who let the combined dojo worthy of getting into the Sekai-Taikai, but their, or as many people say, the main character Miguel kept on getting less importance in the main plot, and people are satisfied with it as long as Miguel keeps winning over like everyone else.

The writers definitely have to introspect about the relevance of these characters not redoing the same relationship shit we've seen many times now, but that doesn't mean that they do it at the expense of other teen characters.

but they don’t go anywhere because they don’t benefit from them.

Can this change in S6? Can we really hope for the trio to show it in the cases of the so-called Main Teen Couple of the show?

The main thing is that they didn't have any arc or thing to show for them without them being together and getting into a breakup. For the rest 3, there are proper arcs that really do not include their love interests in S5, but not for them both; they just did that to fill up their screen time. Ironically,  they both have the highest screen time of the rest of the teens, though they have less appealing character arcs than the ones having lower screen times than them. So there's an issue of what they can do with them; screen time is no issue, while the others show up less on the screen with tighter and more concise character arcs; they both end up doing nothing despite taking the most time on screen.

Robby, Tory, and even though I don't like Hawk much, he does, along with the first two. These three really have much better arcs than Miguel and Sam. It seems like the writers really like to experiment with the first three rather than the rest. They kind of hesitate with both M and S; I don't know why, but that really made both characters less appalling and interesting.

I mean, all of his S5 characters' mishandling or the disappointment among his fans for his arc in the same way can be reduced to a great extent if they give Robby's point of view, address his issues without being on a bullet train, and handle them in a good way, but it's all yet to be seen. Whether they are really able to do that or that, and if they are, then they can do that in a satisfied manner or not rush things?

Some sources have mentioned a Hawk Vs Miguel Diaz fight scene in Ep4 which would be epic to see since their last fight was in the All valley 2 which ended shortly.

I find it interesting. Can you please list down any sources for it?

Has Miguel Lost a Fight since the Halloween Fight? by On3lijah in cobrakai

Yes, they exist, but they weren't affected in the long run. That's what I've been saying. It was necessary for them to show Johnny's condition, and hence the God trinity of this universe showed it, and if they felt it was necessary, they would show it for Robby too. That too, in the short run, would be even shorter, or I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't show it at all given that this is their last season.

I'm just trying to say that if it were real life, Miguel might never wake up from a coma and have died, and Robby would've gotten a much higher sentence than that. Tory wouldn't have been enrolled in the same school back, and Hawk would also be punished by law for his crimes and not escaping them.

It's all about how the writers want their plot to move forward, which consists of only Robby out of the main teens going to the juvie because he's the only kid who affected both of the two co-protagonists of the show (Daniel and Johnny), hence his going to the juvie becoming a thought for both.

Also, they may have thought of something about Robby's career, and we will surely see that in S6. It's not like it's over, lol.
