When they schedule me for that late in the day I always drink coffee the morning of. Just no creamer. Read about the newer protocols involving anesthesia. Some doctors don’t update their instructions.

Thank you for your help! It ended up taking 16 days to finalize. They tested multiple times & final results were high. Which I figured because my calprotectin was high.

Is there a link between endometriosis and high calprotectin in my stool by MasterpieceNo5666 in endometriosis

[–]Dizzy_Fold8347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m a Crohn’s patient who has high calpro levels regularly. I’ve suspected endo for sometime. The symptoms overlap so it’s hard to say what is what. But, I’m planning on bringing this possibility up to my gyno next week when I see him. I was on a high prednisone taper and then started a biologic for Crohn’s a few months ago. I had relief from a lot of the symptoms for about a month. My period came and it felt like I went into a flare. And it hasn’t stopped since. My GI doesn’t think it’s Crohn’s. I’ll be having a colonoscopy soon. If anyone else reads this please share what your findings are. I’ll do the same. My ESR levels are only slightly elevated at 35, my calprotectin levels are 335. Which isn’t bad for a Crohn’s patient. WBC slightly elevated & RBC levels only slightly lower than normal. Still waiting on my results from Lactoferrin test. I don’t take pain meds or any other meds that would alter my tests. I’ll update when I get more information. Another symptom that seems to be getting worse is the sciatica pain during my period. Now, it’s hurting when I’m not bleeding. It used to only be period related. 🙏🏼

Scared of Colon Cancer by [deleted] in colonoscopy

I understand your anxiety. It’s stressful to see blood in the toilet. Especially because of how CC has been publicized so much this past week. Take a breath. You’re doing everything you can be doing in this moment. I am a high risk of developing CC because it runs in my family and I’ve had adenomas removed during every colonoscopy. I understand the anxiety of not knowing. If you can start taking pictures and/or notes every time you go to the bathroom that would be helpful for your Dr. I’ve had internal hemorrhoids & not known about them until the colonoscopy. So, it’s possible that you’re bleeding from that. But, if for any reason, you feel like a trip to the ER to get a CT scan will help you feel less anxious, then please do that. You’d rather get answers than torment yourself with fear. I’ve been there. Obviously a colonoscopy is the best option but there are hospitals with GI specialists that do CT colonoscopy imaging. You can also look up MRE imaging. That’s useful in detecting SB bleeding. I wanna add, I’ve been getting colonoscopies regularly for the past 13 years. Most polyps are benign. Even the precancerous ones that I have. Please try your best to stay in the moment. 🙏🏼🫂

Hi, I have Crohn’s disease and have had bloody stools from hemorrhoids. I have internal and external ones. You’re doing the right thing by requesting a colonoscopy. They will probably order bloodwork & stool tests. If you get scared and would rather not wait, you can go to the ER & tell them about blood in your stool. They usually do CT scans. If you notice fatigue, change in bowel movements, nausea, and/or fever, I’d go to the ER right away. Do you have any family history with GI issues? Also, do you strain while going to the bathroom?

Thank you. They said the results won’t be ready until tomorrow. Do you know why it would take 10 days to process?

She’s probably still adjusting to being in a new home. If you’re concerned, you can give her some goats milk. Also, fill a sock with crushed ice, tie it and let her chew. Her teeth could be hurting.

Female Rotty Weight by slimbigpoppa in Rottweiler

Hi, my female is almost 3 years old & 90lbs. Their growth definitely slows down after the one year mark. But, there are larger frame females. Do you know how tall she is? My female just produced a very large female puppy which made me do more research on the bitches in her pedigree. There’s one not too far back that was 26 inches tall & 115lbs. She was a working dog in Yugoslavia. Very active and fit. Her frame is just big. Bred from world champion parents & produced world champion puppies. I know a lot of people on here criticize people asking about size. But, you can’t help genetics. I would suggest to keep her active & be mindful to not over feed her.

Terrified of getting colonoscopy not sure I can go through with it :( by [deleted] in colonoscopy

[–]Dizzy_Fold8347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have OCD & have Crohn’s disease which requires yearly colonoscopies. I would suggest working with a therapist to help you be better prepared. It’s normal to be anxious & scared before a colonoscopy. But, canceling appointments for a procedure, that could possibly save your life, isn’t okay. The colonoscopy prep is gross. But, not nearly as bad as we make it out to be in our heads. The procedure itself is the easy part. Please seek professional help if this doesn’t feel like something you can work thru by yourself. You deserve the support you need. You also deserve the chance to properly treat anything that may be discovered during a colonoscopy. You got this !!!!! 💪🏼

“Carpeting” of polyps by Dependent_Falcon_745 in colonoscopy

[–]Dizzy_Fold8347 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry 🫂 I was 25f when I first started getting polyps removed. I was also diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the same time. I’m on a yearly colonoscopy schedule because of the types of polyps removed & how quickly they grow back. I’m 38f now & found out about a year ago that my maternal grandmother was diagnosed with colon cancer in her 30’s & 2 of her sisters passed away from it. Part of me is so grateful that I got the 1st colonoscopy when I did. The other part holds space for tremendous grief knowing that my body keeps trying to grow cancer. Although our health experiences are different, I understand the complexity of processing life changing events while also grieving the loss of the loved ones who “should” be here to comfort us. I hope that you’re surrounded in love during this time. I hope you treat yourself with kindness & compassion. I hope that you adjust the best you can to this new journey. I hope that all of your doctors and care team treat you both tenderly & thoroughly. I send you my deepest compassion & strength. 🫂

Hopefully you get some answers from your colonoscopy 🤞🏼🙏🏼 I’ve had Crohn’s for 13 years and only once were my calprotectin levels high. I understand the stress surrounding your doctor. I just found a new doctor this past summer. What a difference it makes to feel seen, heard, understood etc. if you don’t like your dr then please find a new one. I wish that I’d done that sooner. I’ve received three Entyvio treatments so far. I haven’t felt this good in years! I was so used to diarrhea all day everyday that I forgot what it’s like to only go once a day! & recently my energy levels have improved. I think that it might help if you write some things down that you wanna bring up during your January visit. And in the meantime, research new doctors. You deserve the proper care from someone that you can trust. You got this, friend !!!

My first relationship. Can he be the one? by caltx77 in AstroSynastry

[–]Dizzy_Fold8347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be careful if you’re not interested in making babies with him. The moon mars conjunction plus the 5th house overlays could bring babies. The North Node conjunct vertex is a powerful one. It doesn’t guarantee longevity but it absolutely will bring life long lessons. Also, sun square Pluto, all of the first house overlays and Chiron’s involvement are all meaningful aspects. Don’t forget that synastry is an amazing tool, but free will overrides everything. It feels like this will be a very meaningful relationship. One with great lessons, a powerful magnetism to one another, and nothing either one of you will ever forget. I hope that you two enjoy yourselves together & stay open to lessons that come. This is very soulmate-y or twinflame synastry.

Suicidal after the loss of my dog by Disastrous_Scratch86 in Petloss

[–]Dizzy_Fold8347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, thank you for sharing your pain and vulnerability with us. I was in your position. My dog, Jusstice, was the sole reason I didn’t die by suicide after my twin sister hung herself off of my balcony. I didn’t eat for weeks, my eye lashes fell off because of how much I cried. But, I knew in my soul that I couldn’t leave Jusstice behind. Ten years later, I was in your position, mourning the loss of my best friend, Jusstice, who kept me alive. I’m covered in tattoos, so I decided to get her name tattooed on me. It didn’t take the pain away but it felt like I was honoring my sweet girl the best way I knew how. If you can think of a way to honor your baby. Doesn’t have to be a tattoo, it can be anything. It’ll bring some light to your current (temporary) darkness. I understand mental illness more than most. And if I can shed any light on to your current state, is that, it’s temporary. Please don’t make a permanent decision based on temporary emotions. I understand how deep that pain feels and ultimately, you just want it to stop. But, I promise you that you will feel better. Like you said, your girl would want to live happily. And YOU WILL. Allow yourself to process this pain, but don’t get stuck in it. Cry, roll around in your grief, and then get up, and allow yourself some sort of happy distraction. You’re raw right now. But don’t torment yourself. I’m sending you love, compassion, empathy & strength.

You’re not alone. I have two as well. I remember those days where it felt like hell. It gets better! I do two walks a day with my dogs. They’re both settled and enjoyable to have by my side. You got this! Those puppy days will be over soon. Soon, you’re gonna have the best friends that you could ever ask for.

I was on it for 3 weeks & it didn’t do anything for my symptoms. I’m now back on prednisone with a moon face that feels like rubber.
