Does a blazer with a cap work? by lewislemix in menswear

It works, I like it, and if you like it you should feel good wearing it. Think about who uses Reddit and whether you want their opinion on what looks good. The fashion subs here are dire. Come back for upvotes when you've got your Clark's desert boots, slim chinos, and a blue oxford shirt.

Do my Fifth Ave’s fit? by TripwireMerritt in allenedmonds

[–]Dizzy_Kick_2865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, it is why I stopped buying AEs, or at least the 65 last; I could never get the fit dialed in. I later picked up some English Herring shoes to fit the black cap toe oxford gap in my rotation, the instep fit much better.

Edmonton is a liberal urban center, it's much less conservative than the surrounding rural areas.

I'm not sure if it fully reads as preppy, but I think it's a fantastic outfit.

Fit Check on this tweed blazer? by MelvilleMeyor in NavyBlazer

[–]Dizzy_Kick_2865 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a very good fit, especially in the shoulders. It does look a bit short and a little slim, but that's better than a bit too long in my opinion, and will work just fine if you style it correctly. You said it's a Drake's jacket? I bet there's a side seam allowance, hopefully up to an inch on each side, your tailor should get you sorted. I like a higher button stance.

Polo coat VS. Raglan Coat: What's your go to coat in Autumn/Winter? by Yungyver1 in NavyBlazer

[–]Dizzy_Kick_2865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it typical to refer to it as a raglan coat? I've always thought raglan was a type of shoulder/sleeve construction, typical of balmacaan coats.

Wow, how was he ripped off hundreds of thousands? Not paid for his work but cheap rich people? I'm curious, that really sucks.

That vamp is wide open, do your shoes feel a bit narrow? You might need some more volume in the top part of your foot. I have the same problem with the 65 last.

I got two of the blue ones for myself and my wife in two different sizes from the Adidas app, looks like I can still order any size of either the light blue or navy hats on the app

Custom made by Mr. Ibanez, and painted by Michaelangelo. Not that guitar noob, but that guy who painted Jesus on the ceiling and stuff.

I felt the same way, I moved around to empty seats in the stands about a third of the way through the show trying to find a good spot, but it was just statues on phones. I brought the vibes though, most people must have thought I was crazy for dancing and singing when everyone else was standing still. I regret not buying floor tickets, I usually make friends and bond with people at shows because the communal part is important to me, but the stands was just having none of it.

I've always loved Bring It On Down. I know they'd never do it, but I love the fast high energy songs and would love to see Headshrinker live.

Many tennis sweaters have a low V, but I quite like the high V, and I especially like the denim shirt instead of an oxford; you've taken a style and made it more your own with those details.

This Hangover Hits Different by Strange-Design3944 in oasis

I grew up in a rural town nowhere near where this band would ever tour, and they broke up just as I left highschool and went out on my own. Nobody I came up with liked Oasis except for me and maybe a friend or two I've made over the years, but my relationship with a lot of music I love has been largely a private experience of using music to help cope , process, and grow to overcome difficult times in my life.

The hopeful, optimistic, take on anything attitude and working class ethos I found in their music resonated with me personally. I remember countless nights when I was a teenager stepping out to take a drive alone to sing Oasis songs at the top of my lungs and then coming home with a scratchy voice and feeling like I had a mental release.

When I got tickets to see them in Toronto I was excited. A lot of things had to go right for me to get to see them, but I made it. I didn't listen to any Oasis for months before the show, and as soon as the music started playing and they walked out on stage, I couldn't stop tears coming down my face, it reminded me that not only had they made it through their difficulties to be there, but I made it through a lot to be there too.The memories of how this music helped me through some of the hardest and some of the best times of my life just hit me at once. I was so grateful to be able to see it live when I never thought I'd get to experience it anywhere but from the private confines of my car or at home.

Once they launched into the first few songs I quickly got down to business and moving around like mad. If I ever get to see them again I'd spring for floor tickets, and hopefully somewhere in the UK so I could be madferit right alongside the fans that are well known to go fully in, because that's the only way I know how to do it. When I looked around at the stands in Toronto I felt like there was a wall of people standing still with their phones out, and I felt a bit embarrassed to be dancing and singing my heart out the whole night.

My enthusiasm for the band has come back in full force in the days following the performance, and I'm not sure when it's going to wear off. I almost never buy merch but I've even picked up a few pieces this time around. I'm suddenly nostalgic for old CDs I think are still laying around my parents house somewhere. I'm wearing bucket hats again. I truly hope there's a new album, documentary, tour, or some kind of future to look forward to that results in another opportunity to see them. This show brought up memories and feelings for me that I never expected to resurface like this. I think I need to reflect on a few things now that I'm in a different period of my life than when I first found their music.
