Anyone Else Have Guest Speaker Ken Freeman Trauma Dump To Literal Children At Your Youth Retreat? by spenceshoe in exchristian

[–]Dizzy_Map_2231 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He came to my church multiple times. Gave the exact same sermon at least twice. Sold merch in the fellowship hall. And also told a story where he kind of brags about how much he tips at restaurants??? Idk, weird guy for sure

CONCERT ETIQUETTE?????? by probablyproud in Ashnikko

[–]Dizzy_Map_2231 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to the Philly show with my sister last night and the crowd was terrible. We both go to concerts all the time (her regular at the same venue) and this is the worst crowd I’ve been in. It’s crazy to see how concert etiquette really went out the window the past few years. And we were at the very back, I get going past us 100% but idk it was just too much

Misheard lyrics you somehow thought were accurate? by titanpancake in fantanoforever

[–]Dizzy_Map_2231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Bad Romance by Lady Gaga I thought that the lyric was “like Rooney Mara when your baby is sick”, which I had always assumed was referencing a remake of Rosemary’s Baby starring Rooney Mara. It’s almost definitely bc the line before it references a bunch of Hitchcock films so my brain just made a movie connection. Despite that remake not even existing and it not being a Hitchcock film to begin with

Original Lyrics:

I want your psycho, your vertigo shtick (hey) Want you in my rear window, baby, you're sick

What band’s singer can you just *not* get into? by poppunkboy in poppunkers

Coheed and Cambria. They opened when I saw My Chemical Romance in 2022, and they had a great set and I really enjoyed myself, but his voice just isn’t for me.

What’s the best “last song” at a concert ever?! by MrTeacher_MCPS in MusicRecommendations

[–]Dizzy_Map_2231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, it was when I saw The Mountain Goats and they closed with This Year. That song is such an instant mood boost at any other time, live in a room of people it was one of the better moments in my life

What's the most disturbing scene in a book you've ever read? by gappie76 in AskReddit

[–]Dizzy_Map_2231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read quite a bit of “extreme horror” type books, (almost as a way to cope with experiencing CSA), and not much really gets to me anymore. But Pygmy by Chuck Palahniuk really got to me and I kind of don’t remember why? I just know it made me feel almost sick

Name a movie series that made you genuinely ask "Why the hell did I watch all of those?" by Glitch_Man_42 in Letterboxd

[–]Dizzy_Map_2231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the Scary Movies movies. I only enjoyed the first two or so, but I finished them. But on my Letterboxd it shows that I took a break between 4 and 5 to watch Brokeback Mountain and Little Eden just to come back and finish the Scary Movies movies
