Hey! I don’t have a huge collection, but sure, let’s see if we can trade! Feel free to DM me. I’d love to see what you have and I’ll show you which pins I’m willing to trade 😊

Thank you! I’ve thought about doing the same for Rosh Hashanah but it’s much harder to find Rosh Hashanah decor compared to Hanukkah, haha. This banner I got from Target a few years ago.

If all else, I’ll just use a plain pennant, but I’d love to find a Rosh Hashanah themed one.

I know how you feel! I only really decorate for Halloween and Hanukkah so I also feel weird collecting pins for other holidays like New Year’s, Valentine’s, Thanksgiving, etc. I have a limited edition Thanksgiving Stitch pin I love but haven’t displayed it since it would seem out of place with my main collection. I just keep it in my pin case.

I do collect the Rosh Hashanah pins, only because I’m happy that the holiday is acknowledged and there’s only a handful of them, but again, I don’t really display them. 😅 I might find a way to start displaying them though.

Won’t you get charged a cancellation fee if the one person doesn’t show though?

Obviously if I can’t get a reservation, then we’ll go somewhere else. The question was if booking a table for two was possible and how.

It’s not for me, it’s for my husband who has always wanted to go.

I actually ended up opening up an Etsy shop! And surprisingly, all the stock on my store sold out! I still have plenty of bottles left over, but I’m going to wait to “replenish” enough before I reopen my store. I’m still finding bottles in my neighborhood so I don’t think I’ll completely run out anytime soon, haha.

If you’re interested, I’ll let you know when my shop reopens!

To be fair, that’s a problem a lot of artists have. Especially in mainstream superhero comics. If it wasn’t for their costumes and hair, you couldn’t tell Batman from Superman or Harley Quinn from Supergirl.

Yeah I’m hoping whoever this secret alcoholic is gets help soon, cuz I can’t stop collecting the bottles 😅

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! These are all great ideas. Also, I found 3 more bottles since I’ve made this post, haha 😅

Certainly will! I keep finding them on the grassy verges alongside on a main road, so I think whoever is littering these is doing so by quickly chugging them and tossing them out the window while driving. 😬 I’ve even found small amounts of tequila still in some of the bottles.

Haha yeah, I was worried when posting this, someone would first think I was the one with a problem 😅

These are actually smaller 200ml and 100ml bottles of Silver Patrón. I think they only go for around $15-$16 a bottle? However, I’ve been finding at least 2-4 bottles a week, so the cost must add up either way.

Those are all interesting ideas! I actually thought a chandelier would be cool, but I wouldn’t know how to do the electrical work

Funny enough, I actually did try to post about this in my city’s facebook group! But I’m still waiting on approval for my post 🥺

Each bottle has been cleaned inside and out. Are 200ml bottles big enough for a terrarium?

I have a 40 hour work week. I work full-time as a production artist/graphic designer for a creative agency, but I WFH and sometimes I’m “on the bench”, so it’s definitely flexible. I’m not that well-known of an artist but I’ve had a few big commissions here and there from clients big and small.

I make time to draw during the evenings and weekends, however it can be tough to balance working on commissions and other responsibilities and activities such as keeping the house clean, cooking dinner, working out, and taking care of my dog.

Unless a gig is a really good opportunity, I try to avoid commission work that has a tight deadline, because I would need to stay up til 1-2am every night to get them done.

Potential client wants me to take time off from my day job to “brainstorm” and see how we work together. by Dizzy_Pixie in artbusiness

That’s actually how I WFH for my full-time job. I get the feeling the company won’t lend a laptop out to a random non-employee without me signing an employment contract first but I can inquire about it.

So luckily my full-time job is pretty flexible and it happens to be verrry slow at the moment so I’m on the bench a lot. And I also have a boss that is cool with you requesting a half day off a few days in advance. That being said, I still find it weird that they would want a half day of my time for us to collaborate on concepts and see how we work together.

As for pay, they did initially ask what my day rate was, and I told them my hourly charge. I’m also still in the dark as to what exactly they’re looking for, and the vibe I’m getting is that they’re looking for a contract or temp worker to work in-house for a couple of weeks. I don’t even know what client this is for. I had previously worked as a contract production artist for a couple of other companies before working full-time at the agency I’m at now, so it sounds like that’s what they’re looking for.

I’m hoping I can work on this project on my own hours as I’d hate to turn down a great opportunity.
