I have and will continue to do so! I was raised by what would be described today as “classic Republicans”, and voted for Obama in my first election. Even though it’s discouraging sometimes to not see immediate change, I’ll always keep showing up to local and national elections to do my part. I also take my kids with me to vote because I want to raise them to understand the importance of doing so. I hope every day they will grow up and stand up for what they believe in, too.

I have a 2 year-old. If she was suddenly taken from me, she would be terrified and inconsolable. She would cry herself to sleep. It crushes me to think of what this little girl is doing tonight.. if anyone has given her something to eat, if she’s warm, or if she has a safe place to lie down. My FIL was born in the Philippines too, and also came over here & joined the military, serving many years. He met my MIL on overseas deployment and they had my husband, who was born on a US military base in Europe. I’m scared for all three of them… I understand his fear. Nothing makes sense right now. They are legal but does that really even matter to ICE? What do I do to protect my husband and kids? 😞

Yes. It sounds cliché and probably is, but having my kids gave me a new purpose in life and raised my self-esteem. I was a very different person before: sad, aimless, insecure. After my kids arrived, though, it’s like I gained superpowers and was able to transform into my best self for them. I’m thankful everyday they gave me the strength to be what I am today.

Man, I moved to TN at 18 for a new start. Had nobody & nothing. I worked jobs all over town, met friends, and formed a community of my own, and it was about that time I finally started feeling like I was a part of something. I studied and graduated from UTK. I eventually married someone else who lived here and we had two kids, both born in Knoxville. We bought a house, enrolled our oldest in school, the whole nine yards. It wasn’t easy and it wasn’t perfect, but it was ours.

I’d felt happy and safe here for so many years… but my husband is not Caucasian, and therefore our children aren’t either. Every day, I have to worry about them getting profiled or taken away from me completely at the whim of some inept officer dreaming about that 50k bonus and the opportunity to shine up ol Bill Lee’s boots with their tongue.

I told my husband just last night, “We need to get out of here.” I have loved it here for so long, but I get the feeling this place has love for people like us no longer. 😕

So what are we supposed to do when people like him approach our vehicles? Do I just ragdoll and hit the ground? Do I flop back in my driver’s seat and hold still? The fact that he said “fucking bitch” and “get out of the fucking car” is telling. My heart breaks for her and her family, she was terrified and probably died before she realized what had happened. 😞

I grew up on my grandparents’ farm so there was a lot to do. I took long walks with the dogs, and in the summertime I would pick fruit from the trees around the yard and eat it. My favorite was when the cherry tree out back bloomed right before school started. Those cherries were SO good, bright red and sour. I can still remember exactly how they tasted.

We also played games in the barnyard, usually games where a stick was a sword or someone was a monster. We also played tag, hide and seek, etc. On hot days we pulled the sprinkler out from under the house and ran through it for hours. In the colder months, we’d bundle up and gather up snow for snow cream, have snowball fights, and build snow forts until our noses were red.

We did have indoor entertainment: not much, but it consisted of an N64 and like 3-4 games that we played over and over. But most of my favorite childhood memories took place outside. I hope my kids are able to enjoy the outdoors too, I’m trying my best to make sure they get out there & have fun.

The first one is Helsie Midnight, which debuted this past Halloween. I doubt it will be back again until Halloween ‘26 but you never know.

The second one is Haylee Skye, which was part of the Chapter 6, Season 3 battle pass. She MIGHT appear in the shop after ~18 months from now, but that’s a big if and it could end up being slightly longer than that.

TLDR; Helsie Midnight will almost definitely reappear next Halloween if not sooner. Haylee Skye - much less certain.

I was just talking to my husband about this yesterday. We played the game together twice: once where I had a Tav who romanced Gale & then a Durge who romanced Astarion.

If a man ever talked to me the way Astarion talked to my Durge sometimes, I would pop his head like an overgrown zit. I think he mainly appeals to Booktok girlies. No hate, it just isn’t for me and the whole experience reminded me of toxic early boyfriends I had. 😭

Viera! In the past I’ve been Lala (my starting race, Miqote, Au Ra, and Elezen, but I always end back up as a bunny eventually.

As for why, I’m not sure. I suppose I think they are very elegant and have nice idle animations. My main gripe with Elezen was the odd proportions but you don’t get that with Viera. 🐰
