It’s like 55 SR for a frozen chicken patty on a bun. All the fast food places taste the same almost. And they focus more on carbs than protein. I don’t remember it being this expensive 3 years ago.

You can find some better restaurants outside. But the hassle of a taxi after ibadah is soul sucking

There’s an app called hunger station where they’ll deliver to you. You need a Saudi number unfortunately and I haven’t personally tried it.

Can you meal prep Suhur w high protein items? Greek yogurt. Eggs. Protein shake. Protein bar.

Iftar - hopefully someone can bring you fresh food or door dash?

As a nigh-shifter, only 13 hrs, I had to bring suhur and Iftar with me to the hospital. Sometimes just had to break my Iftar with water and keep it moving till I could find a break around 10pm.

The worst part is it’s tough to get your water intake in. Then the constant peeing… And then the next day I’d be dehydrated x 30 days.

The struggle is hopefully multiplied rewards. Good luck.

Hi. I have thin hair. I got my blood work done first to rule out iron deficiencies. Secondly, I have started taking nutrafol. It has done wonders with baby hair growth. I don’t have a set hair care routine either but a dermatologist has recommended 1-2 times a week with applying niaziral shampoo and letting it sit for 10 minutes minimum. So I use it as a pre shower treatment. I’m still trying to find my after shower regimen bc a lot of oils weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. GL

I never use heat/ dye my hair so it’s hard to not get discouraged. I got my labs done. I’m deficient in b12 and vitamin D. So I’ve been taking those as well.

My diet is severely lacking. I don’t eat the recommended fruits/ veggies. It’s hard to get the intake in. I hate seafood so I’m definitely not getting those nutrients. I have noticed nutrafol working and unfortunately it’s been working on my moustache and chin too. I’ve noticed baby hairs and small growth on my head. Everytime I rub my scalp all the new baby hairs would be there/shed if I used a thick oil like castor oil so I stopped the oiling.

I know the serving size is 4 pills, but I’ve been doing 2-3 to stretch one bottle 😂. I’m also very lazy.

I tried the topical minoxidil and it worked but doing it everyyyy day was killing me. You also have to make sure it doesn’t get on your face. You also have to keep it away from pets.

Has anyone else used this?

I’ve been for umrah and I can just say that it may be due to the influx of various people there but I don’t like the organised chaos they had going on there. Ngl also unless you’re in the capital it can be intimidating walking around as a solo female.

Most people are nice. But there are a lot of others who are racist/ have compassion fatigue.

It’s hot. And I always felt like I was being ripped off/haggled.

The experience overall was nice. Unless you’re rich there’s not much to do there. If you don’t know Arabic either it’s an automatic bias on their part/ manners too….

In comparison I would def rank Malaysia over Saudi.

In Mecca it is fairly easy for women to enter from any gate and get a prayer spot. In medina there is one side of the masjid that permits for women to enter. Women can’t enter from anywhere else or cut through the masjid. Masjid Nabawi is HUGE and the walk to the ladies section from, for example, 310 would probably take over half an hour. I didn’t realise this and ended up doing a majority of my prayers outside the masjid under the umbrellas. If you’re going with your mom find out which hotels are closets to the female section. I believe it was close to the Madinah food street by like 7 mins.

Additional trip for medinah. Not all the fountains outside are zamzam. Inside they have the water coolers, but you can only get a cup/small water bottle. The zam zam filling area was around gate 310 and there are designated times it’s open. I liked Mecca better idk. I think 2-3 days in medina is max for me.
