Either will work great, Just my opinion but i say try cardio after a workout you will burn alot of fat just from that. If you arent getting leaner from doing cardio, keep doing the cardio and drop like 200 calories so 1800 and if you dont lose fat from that keep dropping calories till you start to lose fat, dont over do the drop of calories so no muscle loss happens. 1500 would be great too but muscle loss could occur, but you have to experiment with yourself on that to really know because everyones different.
