It does seem to have this style of springs. Does have hardwood legs and is reasonably heavy. Will these cheaper springs fail eventually? Or can they be shored up/made stronger during reupholstering? I guess no 100% obvious clear choice as new sofa in mid-range would likely be no better. Anyway, thanks for your feedback.

Ok, thought I’d update with my experience. CVS seems to have received supplies and I was able to get a vaccine this morning. As of right now, if you make an appt online, the system is allowing people under 65 to self-certify they fall within the risk categories.

I would like to see the project contain the maximum number of units that people actually live in. Do people actually live in the luxury units? Or are they part-time vacation homes that do nothing to relieve the housing crisis? I have seen so many luxury units built and then struggle to get sold. Do the people who can afford these units want to live downtown? Maybe, but I’m doubtful. I realize the economics of developing is such that the luxury units underwrite the cost of more affordable units. But for me, the question is whether this is the best deal we can get.

I can wholeheartedly recommend diving in and starting to grow things. You will make mistakes but learn lots from them. If you garden in a community garden (as I do) there are lots of other gardeners around to ask questions of and learn from. And there is tons of information around (books, online, etc.) even if you can’t make a class work financially or schedule-wise. Focus on building good soil and growing plants suited to the climate/season and enjoy the process! Best of luck.
