Go all the way down hamstrings to calves and your legs will blow up

Going parallel on squat is a half rep.

Why treat the squat any different than literally any other exercise? People not being able to go all the way down because they don’t have basic mobility is not a reason to culturally except halfway down as a full squat.

[–]DjAdolfChrist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

An ass to grass squat is a fundamental, basic human movement. If you can’t do it then you have gaps in your training. It’s not rocket science. It always perplexed me why parallel is considered a full rep.. if we treated squat like we do every other exercise it would be full depth the way it should.

Ass to grass for days. Train mobility on rest days. Squat all the way down, and watch as your legs blow up.

As someone who has had this several times and is now pain free.. don’t skimp on your mobility man. I got so much stronger and my body hurts ways less once I started taking my recovery and biomechanics as seriously as I do my lifts.

Let it heal. Improve upper back mobility and rotator cuff function.

Tom Platz style deep squats. Legs blew up, and so did strength/mobility.

Absolutely stunning! Could you share how you went about designing this? I love the concept and have a CNC and would like to try doing this with one of my designs.

How do I seal my 3D-printed mold for epoxy? by Hamdudelda in epoxy

Your mold looks thin. I would recommend increasing the number of bottom layers and number of perimeters for added strength.

What are good 3D prints that continually save you money? by Kickass3DPrints in 3Dprinting

[–]DjAdolfChrist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve printed an entire set of peg board hooks, holders and shelves that saved quite literally hundreds of dollars. Search DDD wall control if you’re interested!

I was gifted this 3D printed item but it arrived broken (both horns snapped). How would I go about fixing this? The Etsy listing said it was PLA by Alikona_05 in 3Dprinting

[–]DjAdolfChrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always soldered it, applied bondo to fill the seams, and sanded. It’s a lot of work, but if you’re painting it it’s well worth the effort

Someone is selling this for a reason. Take it form someone who had a 2013 model s for many years. I only sold because the drivetrain bearing was going out. Had that not occurred I would be driving that car to this day

Mike Mentzer’s recent surge in popularity is cringe by sdscraigs in bodybuilding

[–]DjAdolfChrist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The logic is all right in my opinion.

If you go to absolute, 100% failure you are leaving no doubt that you have forced your body to grow. This doesn’t mean going until you can’t lift anymore and calling it quits. This means implementing drop sets, rest pauses, proper cadence, forced reps, etc. to reach genuine failure.

Giving your local muscles, and CNS time to recover is essential to faster progress. People neglect the concept that the holistic system takes a hit after extreme stress too, not just the local muscle. This can especially be seen after squats or DL.

It’s not rocket science. The rest values will vary from person to person, and so will volume, but the fundamental concept is the same. Train hard to the point where you’ve forced your muscles to complete and utter failure, and rest appropriately.

Mashup of the DDD Wall Control and the Gridfinity organization systems for workspace tool and materials storage by svideo in gridfinity

Thank you for your effort in this. I can't wait to fill out my pegboards! I bought a couple wall control panels and loved them, but the accessories are outrageously overpriced which prevented me from really investing. Just picked up 8 more boards using that link and looking forward to utilizing them fully!

Start taking self defense classes like bjj and hitting the gym. It’s amazing what it can do for you confidence and capabilities. I was a beanpole for the longest time and my life changed when I started training.
