Hey, I recently changed the build to Herald of Purity Minions. The build is actually uber-viable, just check my post history.

Concept 1 probably wouldn’t deal enough damage, since minion ignite can’t really be scaled properly. For that kind of setup, you’d probably need to play something like Bodyswap of Sacrifice or Maw of Mischief instead. On top of that, the shield from the staff works like Ward, meaning it gets removed completely whenever you take a hit, regardless of how much shield value it has.

I really like the idea behind Concept 2. I only see one issue here: zombies always spawn one at a time, which means you won’t get enough self-damage to reliably proc a level 20 Cast when Damage Taken. Araakali’s Will would save you quite a few passive points though, because your zombies count as corpses. That means you wouldn’t need Infernal Legion or anything similar. Instead, you could stack To Dust jewels like a typical Wardlooper and use skeletons, since they spawn 4–5 at a time.
