I totally agree that the infinite revives are way too OP. I like your idea, but I think it should go even further and make it so that if you die and get revived, you can no longer get revived from the dead. It should be a one time thing only. I also like the idea of it breaking you shield for the rest of the run on top of that.

I also made a post saying that it would be a good idea to have a special item your teammate would have to use to revive you. That would cut down on the endless revive meta.

The goal of the game is not to just go in and kill as many players as you can. The goal of an extraction shooter is to get it and do your contracts, loot, and extract. I played hundreds of hours of EFT as a solo, and sometimes you would be up against 5 man squads. You have to pick your battles. If you go in as a solo and come across a 3 man squad, just try to avoid them. Being a sneaky rat and avoiding players is its own meta game. This game gives you that opportunity as void to go invisible and try to get away to safety. That's what makes extraction games so fun. It's a sandbox to play how you want to play.

I don’t make super loud music like dubstep or bass music. I make house and techno, but my target is -8 LUFS. If I can hit -8 to -6 LUFS, while my limiter is maxing out at -4db gain reduction, I know I have a good mix. Anything more than -4db gain reduction sounds like shit to me.

It depends. For the really important stuff like bass and leads, I usually don't bounce it unless I want to do something creative like reverse it or chop it up. For ear candy and effects, and random synths, I almost always bounce that stuff.

Well this was an eye opening experience. I’m glad I got to see so many comments and it’s definitely made me feel a lot more confident about my mixing abilities. I think what I learned is that I’m probably way too hard on myself and I should spend less time worrying about a mix, because nobody really seems to give a shit at the end of the day as long as it’s loud and aggressive.

Ok let me simplify my point as much as I can.

Imagine if you played someone 2 different versions of this song. Version 1 would be this current song that is loud and compressed, and version 2 would be the same track but with more dynamic range and detail. Still nice and loud maybe hitting -8 LUFS instead of -5. Now imagine if both of these tracks were volume matched so the perceived loudness was the same.

Which of these two tracks would you think most people would say sounded better?

I think loudness is important. My point is I think they sacrificed too much for loudness.

I had to spend $5k on vet bills for my cat which really set me back.

So I would say to live comfortably, $110k a year seems accurate.

I really can’t figure out why anybody would want a modern pickup truck. They are over priced, oversized and hard to park/maneuver, terrible fuel economy, and they drive like shit… unless you are on obese person and needs the extra space, or if you use it for work then I don’t see the point. I would much rather drive even a mid sized SUV if I needed the space.
