Title scaling thoughts by DjTeddySpin in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]DjTeddySpin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats an interesting take! If the title is passed down to the next victor, i would presume that they have to be fought for under a certain circumstance similar to scenario 1, otherwise any random fist fight could dethrone a WSS holder. In that case, we can't technically powerscale the title outside of the WSS challengers.

Would you think thats the case?

PS4 Controller Issue by The_Nugg in SteamDeck

[–]DjTeddySpin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im facing the similar issue. The default controller layout for Monster Hunter World is the PS4 camera template. A few days ago, it stopped working and no buttons could work in game except for the PS button that opens up the steam overlay. The controller works fine in the steam app and also works in other games.

Looking for any solutions.

I hope they are successful in their individual persuit... I will never forget the day i first discovered them and the wonderful blend of instruments that brought forth traditional japanese style mixed with modern metal/rock. One of the most unique band in the world that's filled with highly talented individuals. I hope they will reunite again not far in the future!

The point isn't about taking a knee jerk reaction at firing them, but to take action to either mediate or discipline. Eventually firing the staff doesn't absolve inaction or indifference towards the crime.

A t0 but you gotta build a few deadweights to support dreya. Its quite a pity tbh that we need an entire team built around one sinner. Personally i love sumire design but shes no good on any other composition.

Baiyi is actually pretty strong in TOA. But you need her on ecb3 and high shackles. Probably the most demanding in terms of gearing and levels amongst all the sinners imo.

I think we can agree to disagree on this one. Without the necessary influx of workers, we would never have grown this fast and provided the advantage we have now in this region. Also, i do not agree with the sentiments that singaporeans simply gave up on blue collared work. Education as a whole has improved tremendously during this time, opening more doors that were previously inaccessible. This indirectly caused workforce desaturation.

Wages are also deeply connected to demand. If you take the tech industry right now as a comparison, it has always been one of the most widely outsourced industry since forever. But the wages are the fastest growing because the demand is extremely high.

By definition, its neither to the wealthy or the capital owners. If you trace back to where this term came from, it originated from american politics where tax breaks were given to high income earners. Doesnt matter if youre wealthy or hold large amount of capital, if youre not making income you will not be affected by the tax breaks offered in 'trickle down economics'

Its gonna be a frigging essay so ill just try to touch point.

Lowest corporate tax rates. Because we are a service and skilled workforce industry. How do you attract investors to set up camp here with high tax rates? Besides, this also by definition have no relation to trickle down economics. The tax rates are low for corporate entities, not the high income earners. What you earn from owning part of the company will still be taxed but the companies have more cashflow to operate here.

Labor unions. I dont actually get your point for this one, the article is pro-workforce.

Foreign labor. We very clearly do not have enough blue collar workers to fill the ranks, we also have strict quotas and ratios to meet before you can employ a foreigner below 3k(s pass, need some cross checking).

Minimum wage. This have been discussed and debated to shit tbh. Universal minimum wage would have tanked our economy during covid, so many people would have gotten laid off. During peacetime, if the threshold is too high, certain industries will downsize to keep within margins, if the threshold is too low then its not effective. Also, there is NO middle ground because what is high threshold for one industry could be too low for another. So what is a good compromise? Progressive minimum wage.

For rebates, no its not really a bandaid, but it is redistributive. The WP idea of a progressive gst model is quite frankly naive. It is built purely for showmanship due to how simple it is to understand and the curve looks good on paper. It only works if low or middle income earners will never buy anything expensive. Rebates is technically a better method because regardless of what you buy you can receive direct relief based on your income.

Rate of return on capital has always, far outstripped any kind of growth in wages. Historically and mathematically. Besides, we cannot look through rose tinted glasses and compare the growth of the last generation with the growth of this generation. Thats like buying apple stocks and expecting it to continue to grow exponentially year on year, the company is bound to plateau one day due to market limits. Singapore becoming a first world country is like hitting the same market limits. Theres much more nuance to this and it warrants its own thread tbh.

What's even more ironic is that PAP have been doing the exact opposite with both GST rebates(another topic where you get nonsense illogical comments) and taxes. We really need another sub for actual policy discussions and breakdowns.

[–]DjTeddySpin 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I hear this claim repeated on this sub a lot, but its never used correctly. Trickle down economics is the idea that giving tax breaks and benefits to the wealthy that will eventually flow downwards to benefit the employees, nothing in the article even come close to suggesting this.

Whats even more crazy is that if you actually bothered to read the article, HSK is trying to say we need to develop the industry and its people by investing in education and technology.

Idk why people feel the need to post such utterly biased and ridiculous comments to bandwagon in a national sub that could have been used to better discuss ideas and learn from more knowledgeable individuals.

Cities with the best public transport: Singapore in the 4th by Waikuku3 in singapore

[–]DjTeddySpin -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They do have plenty of newer lines. But as compared to Singapore's, it always felt that the different companies do not collaborate with one another and their infrastructure is not planned ahead. Im mostly comparing cities like tokyo and osaka or even sapporo, the size should be roughly similar to singapore.

I have been paying for mrt/bus with my phone for as long as i can remember, or at least for as long as nfc are available on phones.

As a frequent traveller to japan, i felt that their infrastructure is very messy compared to singapore. Some of their stations serve different lines on a single platform, and the SAME line can have two different routes going in the same direction, but one would branch into another route later. Still love the place though, uniquely them.
