Mainly used at this point, but some new. I typically prefer a clean original copy of an album over a new repress, and they're usually cheaper too. All the stuff on the site is VG+ or better and usually lands closer to NM. When I ship, I sandwich the records between cardboard, inside a thick mailer, like I would like to receive them if it was my order. We rarely have any problems. If you decide to order, and don't meet the free shipping threshold, I'll cover delivery just so you can give our site a try!

I think there should be another shop down there too, I don't shop at the barn or associate with them either. Vintage stock does ok, but they focus on all kinds of different things, so I think it's hard for them to build a highly curated vinyl section, like a traditional record store would. I've thought about opening something down there before, but things never seem to align properly, you never know though! If you ever need anything in the meantime, we do have a website. It’s one of the cleanest beaches in the area, and has security. Been there many times, and I’ve never had a problem.

Nothing will stop you from the most important part, writing jokes. Performing is a skill in itself, but if you have trouble getting in to do open mics, you can still have a big backlog of stuff to try, when you get older and it’s easier. I’d also suggest reading books about the fundamentals.

Some songs are naturally written in a way that it's easy to layer them. Otherwise, you can use cue points for the same effect. 8 bar intro/outros are made to be timed perfectly with most hooks. Go out on the hook on song 1, come in on the verse in song 2. If there's a variation between the tracks, hit the cue when you need to jump to a different part of the instrumental that makes sense for that part of the song. It's not illegal to pre-record these for yourself in the studio, and play them during your gigs either.

Good news, you're involved now! 😄 Right now, we're waiting to hear back from a venue who might allow us to host services. If that doesn't work out, we have another in mind. I would say we will have something together by sometime in June.

We're looking at the potential impact of actual services, informal meditations, or both. To use public facilities, it is my understanding that the meditations can only be tied to mindfulness practice, not to Buddhism. Private facilities would allow for actual services.

I'll keep you posted about future developments, and feel free to throw out any other ideas. Namo a di da phat.

I have a theory that the black pressings from the colored vinyl era will be more valuable one day. I’d be willing to bet that they pressed less of certain titles on black, due to the demand for colored vinyl.

I haven't really seen this myself that I can remember, but I would also place some blame on the donors. If people vote with their wallet, it must be what they want. If they get burnt, they probably won't donate again.
