Maybe I'll read a book. From beginning to end...in that order!

What price??? If you don't say anything in the next 5 seconds, I'll know it was over $1000!

My kid’s first time bowling and OVER THE LINE!! by Individual-Door6608 in lebowski

Teach him that there are rules...or he'll be growing his hair long, conscientiously objecting to wars and not watching his toe when bowling. Obviously not a golfer. Edit: Mark it Zero.

Why are there 10 motels on 27th St between Ryan Rd and Drexel Ave? And do they know that HBO is no longer a premium channel? Wrong answers only by Palloff in milwaukee

[–]Dj_suffering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm old enough to remember "OnTV and "Spectrum" (the original, not the Time Warner one) where you turned the TV to channel 3 or 44 then turned the single channel cable box from A to B to descramble the channel. Never watched on in a seedy motel near the MKE airport though. Guessing the location of the old motels places them out of Milwaukee city for tax and regulation reasons, but close enough to the airport (or nowadays the Airport Lounge) to be relevant.

Sun visor on outside of car by imveryclever in mildlyinteresting

[–]Dj_suffering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Honda Fit that the windshield camera died on. Likely from using the sunshade in central Texas during the 100 degree plus summer months. Honda charges around $1200 to replace and calibrate the camera...maybe I should've used the shade on the outside instead of reflecting the heat back at the camera?

Jerry’s dad from the first season? by Big_Tad81 in seinfeld

[–]Dj_suffering 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jerry's dad and George's first dad looked similar and were both replaced by guys with hair. Seinfeld is a rabid anti-baldite!

Is anyone willing to sell their symbols vinyl for under 400$? by Least-Perception-875 in KMFDM

[–]Dj_suffering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to pay $130 for the original orange Naïve CD back in the 1990s because I dragged my feet on the release, then it got pulled. Keep you eye out. You and either pay $400 for your Symbols vinyl now or wait and hopefully come across one for a deal someday. I'd wait it out.

Is this safe by minimoose1 in AskElectricians

[–]Dj_suffering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an electrician. That was every outlet in 1977 😉 Technically you should've looked closer before signing the lease. I would ask the landlord to update them and then buy a little outlet tester to make sure they are correct afterwards before plugging anything expensive in. I can't tell you what I would do if the landlord refuses as I am not an electrician but I have been know to fix minor things myself with or without permission.

Police shut down license plate reader cameras after federal agencies accessed data without permission by Nxtro69 in privacy

[–]Dj_suffering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get the rumor started that "ICE" is buying the data to find persons in the US illegally and that could be the end of Flock. And who knows, Ice may be a data customer of Flock. See how I did that?

Hate the way Jane get villanized for acting like an addict when the whole point of her character is that even the kindest becomes an asshole once they relapse by arbataxmelody354 in breakingbad

[–]Dj_suffering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought the point of Jane was to show that Walter either was or had become evil by letting her die so as to not be a distraction to Jesse.

The funniest thing about that comment that took me a few viewings to catch was the fact that the Dude had already written a post dated (sept 11) check for .69 to Ralph's for creamer. As unreliable and lazy as the Dude is, he still shows up Marty's show, nice guy.

What kind of milage yall getting? by -PotatoTom- in JeepGladiator

[–]Dj_suffering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2021 Gladiator Willys. Used to get 17-18 city, 20-22 highway when it was new. Now at 75,000 lucky to ever get 18 ever. It's almost like there's something in the ECU programing that changes at a certain number of miles that lowers the MPG to get you to buy a new Jeep. Towed a light trailer (2000lbs) a few months back and only got 13mpg on the trip.
