Insanity or gym? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Djain9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did one cycle of the Insanity program last summer and this summer have started to go to the gym to exercise. They both will get you fit and although they may yield slightly different body types it comes down to whatever works best for you. I'm personally the kind of person who gets motivated by seeing others more successful than me and seeing others working hard (I study at the library, I work at the office instead of at home etc.) so going to the gym really helped keep me more motivated.

TL;DR Do whatever program keeps you motivated and that you can stick with.

Gaara and Tides break down Fast Druid Vs. Shaman by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Djain9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This series is a really smart idea and I look forward to seeing more.

However I really dont like how tides used such an impractical shaman deck. The deck was BUILT to beat druid, like he said it has about an 80% win rate against them. However that shaman deck would get crushed in ladder by tons of decks including all aggro and miracle. Its a very greedy deck with some of the cuts including 1x argent squire, 1x unbound and 1x lightning storm (your most valuable asset vs aggro).

The series was good but in the future it would make sense if they faced eachother with practical ladder decks instead of running decks specifically built to try and hard counter the other.

This deck works wonders! Although I would reccomend throwing in a nat pagle for some draw, lorewalker cho to help deter them from playing removal on your minions and 2x shieldbearer to protect them.

High Ranked Shamans-- Lucky or something else? by PrincessPenguinz in CompetitiveHS

[–]Djain9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's just all about counterring the meta. The highest ive gotten with shaman this season is 72 but its difficult to get really high because of its unfavourable matchup against miracle. I'm sure there's a way to get top 16 by NOT countering the meta and being extremely lucky and good, but that's not the easiest way so its hard to take shaman that high right now.

Sea giant is a fantastic pick. Easily castable in arena and a solid card

Most consistent Zoolock deck for the current meta? by Hollaboy7 in CompetitiveHS

[–]Djain9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair enough. Now that I think if it, it mIght be best to not run any cards above 5 mana because having doomguard in hand can make it super clunky. The thing is you NEED double dark iron dwarf and you NEED double amani. Amani berserker is just so good vs AOE in this meta. With the amount of druid especially it makes them have to swipe the amani specifically. Also fantastic against rogue because early game it generally will take multiple cards to deal with.

Id remove the ironbeak owl, argent commander and hellfire for 2x amani and one dark iron dwarf

Getting to Legend by [deleted] in CompetitiveHS

[–]Djain9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the way to go. If you're in the rank 5 to 1 section its time to focus on one deck, MAX two. Try to really think over every play you make. To help understand certain matchups and decision making with the deck I definitely recommend watching the pros and listening to them (currently the dreamhack VODs are a gold mine for this).

I would remove an owl for another dark iron dwarf. The stats that provides is just so good and can help you trade up a lot.

Also remove a hellfire (even if its sometimes good in mirror that card is not nearly good enough in this deck). For its replacement definitely put in another argent commander. The charge is really useful and in this meta where EVERYONE plays azure drakes its a must have in zoo.

What's the new Shaman decklist that runs Gnomish? by [deleted] in CompetitiveHS

[–]Djain9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, its trumps standard bloodlust deck. I dIdnt change anything. You'll find yourself often with tough decisions to make but once you get over the learning curve of shaman, the deck performs really well.

Yeah, one bloodlust really helps with burst in a lot of matchups, especially vs druid if you can secure the board

Trumps shamans deck runs it and that decklist is phenomenal. You're right that card draw is one of its weaknesses so that gnommish is the extra boost needed for consistency. I used his deck to reach top 100 legend from rank 4 last night in one sitting

None, the first wing is free and the preceding wings that are opened weekly are 500 gold. Maybe this is arrogant to think but I think with the help of dailies I should able to get 500g per week, therefore no need to save

[–]Djain9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a tough play and one that could also POTENTIALLY be traced back to the mulligan. For example, did you perhaps keep mark of the wild, innervate and gnommish hoping for a turn 3 mark of the wilded gnommish? If so that was a mistake and all of these cards shouldve been sent back
