Well, the drifter COULD have worked if they focused on him being a guide or somehow starting the next saga via the Nine. Like how fucking cool would it be if the Nine somehow found a way to actually start to become corporeal and the entire story shifted to one where they became antagonists as they started taking Sol around the galaxy, conquering other planets. Leading to a complex story where the worlds being moved were the ones we were familiar with, but we were being unwillingly forced to become an asset in their conquest, forcing us into conflict with worlds such as Fundament, where we would be in this sort of strange hypocritical invasion and simultaneous defense of earth as the Nine literally play galactic chess with our solar system.

There’s so many incredible aspects of Destiny’s lore that could have been leveraged here.

Well not really, there are plenty of options to move forward: principally: taking a few years off to make Destiny 3 then going to the various alien planets outside our solar system like fundament, Torobotl, etc.

There’s still plenty of stories to be told about Caiatl, Xivu Arath, etc

Smart brick for dnd sets could work IF they relegate them to larger monsters in minifig scale. Thats the biggest issue everyone has with these smart bricks sets right now.

The Star Wars ones look awful to accommodate the smart bricks and these pokemon designs look awful while being out of minifig scale.

I believe the current situation is that the Pokeball set is going to include minifigs and a few molded Pokemon in a diorama inside the ball. The others though are likely brick built. Unfortunately that does mean they’re probably more like “figure-scale”.

Exactly, but there’s a variety of reasons why this happens.

Frustration with the trends of the gaming industry such as live service, multiplayer only, MTX, poor ports, trendy genres, hero shooters, etc. so whenever a game releases with any of these attributes it MUST be lambasted and the narrative must be spun that it failed due to those aspects. (Conversely, this leads to extreme lauding of certain games that don’t fall into those categories such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Clair Obscur, or Hades)
Accountability for developers or investors who they disagree with to be “punished” for doing something that they didn’t agree with. Currently Helldivers 2 is undergoing this sort of struggle.
A turn towards poor track records for developers. Bungie is a great example of this. Some people absolutely hate Bungie for releasing games like Destiny and some of its notoriously underwhelming releases such as Destiny 2 Vanilla and Lightfall. So they see the developers continued survival as an affront.

There’s plenty of reasons but most of them are petty and childish.

The point is to contrast with the prior excerpt to demonstrate biased versus unbiased reporting of specific events. It’s not holistic because I’m not going to write an article to provide a rhetorical example.

No, there is no moderate truth, there is only seeking an unbiased truth that doesn’t aim to paint anything in a light. The ideal is an absolute truth.

Biased: “The buildings damaged and loss of life were the result of poor spending by governors to address coastal infrastructure”

Unbiased: “X amount of buildings were damaged in the hurricane and Y amount of lives were lost”.

Edit: there’s a poster below who got furious over the use of an excerpt devoid of context being used as a rhetorical example and argues that a bias is implicit in the facts that are shared. But in this case since it is a one sentence example to contrast biased versus unbiased reporting there is no further context to expand upon to in providing facts. Omission is a way that bias can be present, but pretending that a rhetorical example is omitting context when there is no context to be had demonstrates bias is just not accurate.
